For example, a coke can on a desk in a FPS would make me chuckle. But a pop up type video advert in the middle of the game or in the top of the screen and so on would annoy me greatly. I also wouldn't like advertising videos outside the gameplay. So basically, product placement or even an video, as long as its on TV that is in the game, would seem like fun.
