Before that incident Motta rugby tackled Drogba, the commentators said it looked like Drogba was stumbling to get back on his feet and he happened to step on Motta feet by accident. For me it clearly wasn't a stamp. I'm a Chelsea fan and we just didn't show up. Inter deserved their win.

All the Chelsea fans I know knew it was going to be a really tough game and most were hoping for a 1-0 win. We knew Inter are a top team, they beat Milan with only 9 players? can't remember.

The (British) commentator's in the feed I got were surprised at how strong Inter played. Maybe its due to the beatings Italian teams have been taking the last couple of years at the hands of English football. This is why Inter was probably so underrated this game. If you look at their line up though its a whole lot of players who play key roles on their countries national teams. So while the result may have been unexpected I don’t think people should really be that surprised. I wasn't surprised at all. Mourinho makes his players work for their paycheck and it often brings results. Inter are a good, solid side and could even make the final. More people should be talking about that Messi hat trick against Valencia. It was sublime.

any other player in europe getting rugby tackled on a corner would have been a penatly 100% but his reputation goes before him, and fully deservedly imo but inter fully deserved that win, brilliant defending and if milito could stay onside that would have been over a lot earlier i swear i didnt read the latest posts before i made this one i dont know why i used all the same expressions ;/

![]() Even Murinho said so in the first leg. Some of the papers are even supporting Chelsea in terms of the penalties in the 2nd leg, shocker! In the end Inter clearly deserved to win, they played much better than us and I agree if Milito was onside for half of those chances we'd of been dead much earlier. Milito was offside like 5 times i think lol.

This article makes me so mad. How can anyone seriously believe that a oil-rich club without actual Italians should dominate Italian football? Look at how much more exciting the French league is now with more teams competing for 1st place. Hell, all Inter have done to get their Scudettos is scavenge off of Juventus and Milan after the Calciopoli scandal. Serie A is sinking into the depths with Inter as the unwanted anchor. A Milan victory is needed to provide the buoyancy necessary to fix the otherwise doomed vessel.

I mean it's not like they lost to Lyon (I don't want to shit talk Lyon by any means, but Lyon winning was kind of an upset and really surprising) and spent 250 million euros on new players instead they lost to a really formidable squad in ueber form with an absolutley amazing Rooney, who is curerntly definitely one of the best, if not the best player in the world (I generally don't like "best of the world" in football, because there are so many aspects to the game and so many positions, that it's kind of pointless) I mean the best thing that can happen to Serie A is a close title race why? because Inter has qualities, good qualities as they showed yesterday in beating Chelsea, who are strong...(in autum I would have bet on them to win the champions leauge, because of their physcially really strong play in midfield) and this would mean that the other teams are not so far away of europes top as one might think w/e
