At his peak Eduardo looked like the man to guarantee us 20 or so goals a season but hes lost everything since the injury..
Say what you will about Bendtner but 8 goals in 11 matches is still a very, very good record. He can only get better; you can see the potential, even if its unlikely he will hit world class levels.
Still, I think it's unfair to highlight our "finishing" as a major problem when we've had Cesc (high scorer) Arshavin (second highest scorer) and Van Persie out for a lot of the games, Arsenal's main problem is- and always have been- injuries to crucial players at the most vital stages of the season. We were horribly outclassed by Barcelona as expected but I'd loved to have seen our full strength squad against them.
..Oh, and get rid of Almunia. Trophies dried up with the departure of Mad Jens. Coincidence?

What a stud Van Persie showed he is when he came on the field today. Unlucky Arsenal for their injuries, this could have been a much more successful season. But truely today they were really outplayed by the Spurs and did not deserve a point. Chelsea should cruise to the title now with man u missing Rooney and all. Ivanovic should also be back for Chelsea soon so they are pretty healthy every part of the field.

Happy birthday to both of you. Everyone thought Chelsea was being ridiculous several seasons ago when they kept buying world class substitutes but it's pretty clear now depth is the most important factor that separates the top four. There are some decent strikers available like Chamakh and Edin Dzeko, hopefully Arsenal can snap up someone solid up front this summer. Also yea in the handful of Arsenal games I've watched this season Almunia has fucked up in every one. That young Italian keeper had a good debut but sucked afterward.

DANNY ROSE YOU FUCKING LEGEND

too bad spurs is forced to play vs chelsea, i wish harry redknapp gl (he is a good coach and lamps uncle ^_^). I'd like tottenham play in CL instead of man city. And YAY! 4 points ahead and 4 games to go, i hope we don't fuck up like we did it last 3 seasons.

yay Tottenham beat arsenal =) Really hope they make that big four before city! Great matches next week regarding the 4 place, Man city vs Man U and Tottenham vs Chelsea! And holgerious is definitely overrating Totti, lol comparing him to zizou , the dude who played the most fluent football known to man. FORZA JUVE!!!!

and here we go again?
anyway, I guess Chelsea wins the PL this year, if they don't screw up horribly which we all know they won't. and yaaaaaay RVP is back

He's a Juve fan, I can't take him seriously.
+ Show Spoiler +XD Nah, for now I'll just have to accept the fact that you're all idiots. You'll realize how wrong you have been this summer, when Totti makes his glorious return to Gli Azzurri in the WC.
|
I know how RVP looks to be injury prone and is constantly out, but I would like to say that for this season, he actually got his injury due to a tackle in an international friendly. Not like it was a bad tackle, but it is not like you can avoid injuries of those kind. The one where Fabregas and Arshavin got can probably be questioned about their training regime, something like Newcastle where half their squad is out with hamstring and calf problem.

What the hell, Derby d'Italia (Inter-Juve) is played today? I just noticed. Since when do they play matches on Fridays? O_o It's gonna feel weird to root for Juve, but it's for the greater good; Forza Juve! Hopefully Inter are already heavily focused on their upcoming game vs Barca.

they do it for teams playing in champions league
i remember sir alex complaining about the fact that english teams dont get that luxury
ferguson whining about something? surprise!

Lyon actually got its league match vs Monaco postponed so they can prepare better for their CL match against Bayern...
|
Ya, I figured it was because of CL. Still, it feels fucking weird watching football on a Friday.
Fuck Juventus. Such an evil team. Now Roma HAVE to beat Lazio, and a derby like that is extremely volatile and the positition in the table and actual class counts for nothing.

To add the the Arsenal discussion I think ever since Rosicky has been back from injury he hasn't been the same as before either. Diaby's a real beast in midfield and i'd play him over Denilson anyday, he holds onto the ball so well and he's one of the bigger players in the squad. The squad is still young and will obviously keep improving but to win something at this point in time Arsenal definitely needs a proper striker (Chamakh may be coming to Arsenal and he seems like a great player, i've only seen him play this season for Bordeaux in the UCL and he's been pretty good)
Good to see RVP back, played like he was never out, pity the Tottenham goalie decided to play good for once -_-

The Comitee of the Spanish Football Federation is trying hardcore to make it harder for Barcelona to take this Liga lol.
No suprise considering some of them wear Real Madrid socks (literally).

Explanation?

This weekend allegations for red and yellow cards has indulted Kameni (the keeper of Barça's rival, Espanyol) and Albiol (Real Madrid centerback) among other players.
In Spain, Madrid's press (Marca and As) is always talking about suposed benefits the Federation gives to Barça, and Barcelona's press (MundoDeportivo and Sport) does the oposite. The funny part is that they both should be quiet, because they are the ones always supported by the Federation in detriment of the 18 remaining teams. But it looks like the average sports newspaper buyer likes the conspiracy theories, so they keep trashtalking shit about a rigged Championship, which is totally hilarious. But as you can see, somepeople just wants to believe -___-
