The Boston Globe report on Friday says the Celtics offered Wallace a deal during a three-hour meeting in Detroit on Thursday.
Celtics stars Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce joined general manager Danny Ainge and managing partner Wyc Grousbeck at the meeting.
How can you refuse with the 3 star players joining the talk. Anyway it would be funny how if the Celtics gets sheed and starts him over Perk, that everyone in their starting lineup can shoot except the PG. kinda ironic.

i agree with hot bid. this will likely be hedo's last big contract in his career. this is it for him and this is what will support not only his entire family but also a legacy for future generations. 50 mil after taxes is what, 30 and change? he buys a nice house for himself, one for his parents, one for his inlaws, etc. He buys a car or two, one for his wife, one for his parents, one for the inlaws. vacations, wardrobe, list goes on. Most of all, there are expectations that come with being wealthy and he will most likely be a generous man to his family and friends. after all that say he's got 15-20 mil left. an extra 6 mil @ that point is huge. considering that money will have to support his lifestyle for the rest of his entire life, he will need to invest that money. and say one or two of the businesses he invests in fails. well that safety net doesn't look so big anymore. sure it will be more than most people ever see but my point is that even people worth tens of millions of dollars are a few unfortunate turns away from becoming like ordinary people and having to worry about money.

I realize that it's a business decision, but it sucks that he basically pulled a fast one on Portland because someone came in with a slightly better offer at the last minute. Besides, the extra money for playing on a bad team might not be worth it. Hedo can have a real shot at winning a ring with Portland or someone else, but he gave that up for $6, sucks =P

I'd love to have the opportunity to get an extra $6 million to lose the chance of MAYBE winning a ring

Oh that makes a hell of a lot more sense now regarding the Turkeyglue situation.
Now I wanna see whether or not Bosh is dangled up in the air now that Hedo is coming to town.

iverson is getting no love so far, what team do you think will sign him

the all washed up team guest starring rondo?
i kid. none of the east teams look strong compared to the lakers. cleveland is about even with boston, with orlando maybe on top of them depending on how vince plays.

Ah no hate towards Rasheed but the Celtics are freaking sages b/c of their age.

J Kidd went back to Dallas it seems ~

the big teams are getting even more firepower this season while everybody else are butchering their teams to make room for lebron next year
