I'm sure a couple will turn into a solid contributors down the line and a couple MIGHT even become all-stars. But at this point, smaller guards are a piece in the bigger puzzle of a championship. Rarely are they franchise players. On a sidenote, has the draft always been held on a weekday at 7 p.m. eastern? | ||

Bowen, though a good defender, doesn't help offensively at all; barely spreads the Spur's offense or their opponent's defense. Gregg Popovich had to let him rest some games and take time off of practice. So basically the Bucks are gonna suck for another year right? I feel bad for players that are caught in the trade; they have to pack up all their junk and move away to a new city. the bucks might not even keep bowen, they can cut him because his contract isn't guaranteed, so if the spurs really want him back they can still re-sign him for cheap. They still have who, bonner and drew gooden? Yeah they need some big men help for sure | ||

Work with me here. They're both young, very ambitious, pretty team-oriented, smart, cocky players. Rondo may be a dick, but that dude plays with a tenacity few players have matched. Combine that with Lebron's sheer athleticism (and a few other choice role players), and you've got one of the scariest defenses ever. Also, they are both great passers, and thus could develop a more flashy stockton and malone type combo. I could just see them just developing this ridiculous swagger as the two youngins obliterate teams left and right. | ||

Lebron makes most of what Rondo brings to the table completely redundant. The only benefits they'd get from Rondo are defense and rebounding, but they'd also end up with a PG who can't spread defenses and will allow teams to pack the paint and/or double Lebron with impunity. | ||
