Finally downloaded and installed (like Evotroid :D) last weekend and made a trial account to try it out. I got my first impression and it does intrigue me. I am currently playing the different job tutorials to get a broader look at things. Should I apply to The Hatchery now, to get the new account and start training skills as fast as possible or should I continue my trial play before I decide to commit more time to EVE? The OP mentions EVEMon, to plan out ones skill training, but I have close to zero idea of the "right" way to arrange skill learning for your pvp playstyle. Well, I am probably just going to join the Hatchery channel tomorrow in the hope of getting some serious answers (in consideration of the OPs hinting at massive trolling). | ||

I think you get some free play time, and a mentor if you start a new account after you get used to the game mechanics a little bit. This will also get you a mentor. Haven't done it myself (I already have an account) but those that don't follow the guidelines in the OP have a hard time getting help from the hatchery and get trolled without a mentor. Look about 10 pages back there was a guy that basically said he wasn't going to reroll a new account for the free game time and the guys basically said GLHF. Hope this helps! | ||
