The way I see it, it's on him to check if the guy he's giving fleet intel to is hostile to his fleet, if they make the mistake of contacting The Hatchery and saying "a goonswarm pos is reinforced and dying next to you" then that's their fault and I shouldn't feel bad. Anyway, we drove off the QS fleet and I informed them that their pos was now safe from QS but unfortunately we were now killing it. They felt confused and betrayed but our position remained the same, anti-QS and anti-goonfleet, I just used evasive words like "we'll kill the QS fleet" instead of "we'll defend the pos". He just gave intel out to random strangers.

Eventually the fleet arrived, a drake, a talos, an oracle, a pest, a hound, a domi and three guardians. After extensive scouting they spiked local and warped their tackle armourpest to my machariel at zero. Unfortunately as it was landing I pressed the mwd button and then I wasn't in scramweb range when it locked me. The remaining members landed but it didn't go so well.

He explained what happened in broadside, much to our amusement. Basically he got unlucky that his scramweb armourpest wasn't the ideal fast tackle ship. He then got unlucky that his drake had bad armour resists and that his three guardians couldn't hold up a pest. After he unluckily warped his fleet in he wasn't able to luckily get them out. We then killed the pos, grabbed the contents and went back to incursioning. First sov, then killing goon pos, what happened to us.

Wow, Kwark you are the best. This guy invites enemies of his alliance (hatchery) to defend his POS. So you take the easy kills on defense and then kill his POS. Then he threatens the hatchery, so you show the guy a kill mail of a 5 man hatchery fleet SMASHING a 14 man Goonfleet with 0 losses for hatch. Then you ask him if he is still bringing his fleet, and he obliges. So you proceed to kill his 12 man fleet with 0 losses.

God, I love this corp. Hatch life.

This gentleman decided that the best course of action to get eyes (since the pod was killed) would be to warp to a slightly different location roughly the same distance away. Unfortunately his plan did not work out either as he warped onto grid uncloaked and proceeded to afk.

I believe the 60 day trial is massively inferior to the 21 + mentor approach whereby the mentor helps the new guy get the isk to subscribe and pays for 2/3 or whatever of his first plex. You see once a guy on a 21 day trial gets the isk to subscribe his account then the guy who gave him a 21 gets a plex back. This means that we're willing to advance most of the cost of the plex to you. In effect the 21 day trial is a 51 day trial with a mentor while the 60 day trial is 60 days without. The difference between learning the game for yourself and our expertise is more than 9 days and neither approach should cost you real money.

If you still want a 60 day trial I will send you one but I firmly believe the 21+30 day approach is superior.

On an unrelated note, not only does ueberlisk kill their link alt, he also gets all the faction mods, which also increase in value 7x more than what the killboard claims.

its pretty rare i am a smug bastard, but faction co-proc's have spiked hard since t2 links came on the market. who'd have thought that.
