So I am approaching ~1 month since I first started EVE and wondered what would happen if I joined Hatchery right now?
I don't do too much right now in game other than do a couple L3 Caldari Navy missions everyday, so what type of impact would I have if I joined Hatchery? I don't know too much about the different aspects of this game, outside of the Jita region >>'

You'd want to join us in lowsec and do things with us, cause if you don't i don't see a reason for joining other than being vulnerable to wartargets

I started playing Eve before and took part in a few "courses" by one of the better PvP corps (afaik), teaching basic PvP stuff (angular velocity, tracking, tackling, fleet behaviour....). Let's see how fast it's coming back.

I have no idea how one makes money in low-sec. All I know is that everyone has their own way and everyone sustains like 4 accounts on isk alone or something.

when you join us you will fly rifters and point the shit out of enemies. Enemies is by definition everyone passing by who's not belonging to corp.
Those rifters don't cost a lot, like 400k per ship? If you want to make money you get yourself an alt, which isn't in corp and mission with that alt, while doing pvp with your main.
That's pretty much the basic idea. I don't know what's about the rifters nowadays since the rifter hangar is closed you don't get them for free anymore. So if that 400k per ship should be a problem you might get some for free if you ask the ones giving out basic rifters.
Comes down to the question if you want to do pvp or not. If you don't there's no point in joining, if you want to start with pvp it's awesome.

Hrm, I don't have a problem hero-riftering(read: sacrifice myself for the greater good), but I was hoping that especially in the beginning (=learning phase), rifters would be paid for.
We will see how it goes.

that's one reason yes. Another reason is, that we are at war pretty much all the time. At war means that the guys you're at war with can shoot you without a reason and police won't do a shit.
Therefore your pve account should no be in corp, just so he isn't at war, so you can't be attacked because of war without police and shit.

Rifters are still free. Often enough there are contracts up to corp, and if not you can ask a director for one. We closed the hangar because people kept stealing dozens of Rifters and we were tired of it.
