If it's not real someone is trying to make his employer look bad (probably not) or CCP is testing waters to find out how the community would react. Personally, I'll unsubscribe as soon as there is anything but completely useless crap in the aurum store. I've seen this shit happen to and consequently ruin other games before and it started just like this. | ||

AURUM=PLEX=ISK Anything in the store has a equivalent ISK value, and can be obtained with ISK buy converting the ISK into PLEX and converting the PLEX into AURUM. The only issue would arise if there were items that could only be purchased with RL cash, of which I have seen no suggestion (link me if I am incorrect). | ||

And you know what? If you don't like paying for this, you can always buy a PLEX of the market, and never have to get your credit card out. If you happen to be economically challenged...you can trade ISK with other players for some real life currency, just like you can with PLEX today. I played World of Tanks for a bit. But once you get to the top tiers of the game it is basically impossible to compete unless you are a premium subscriber. That can ONLY be purchased with RL cash (not quite true, but effectively so - no in game player driven market). In as much as that document indicates anything it implies that all virtual goods/services will be transacted through EVE/CCP's virtual currency, not RL cash. There is a degree of bullshit when they talk about reasonable prices, because the NEX prices are lolwtf stupid. | ||

They have to be purchased initially with some sort of IRL cash. Those Plex came from somewhere you know. I still laugh at the monocle, holy shit holy shit. I'm rich as hell and I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole out of principle. | ||
