Have you played Supreme Commander? You know the difference between the pretty awesome max detail zoomed in shots vs. how you actually play the game at the strategic zoom level where everything is just a colored box? That's basically EVE, except EVE is worse.

Nah, I played SupCom and I must say I enjoy EVE graphics way more.

In EVE you don't need to play zoomed out all the time. During gang fights, perhaps. But during 1v1, PvE or just travel I play completely zoomed in. And since actual combat takes little time comprared to preparation and jockeying for position, you have plenty of time to look at the pretty sights.

Or piss-ugly sights, if you live in Caldari space.

Well the Liquid Inc Frigate tournament was run today. Everyone had lots of fun blowing each other up for a 30 million ISK prize.

Wardec Day 1 report:

Kwark was AFK all day cloaked in front of Disorder's home system, which probably weirded them out.

A few minutes after the war started I got a fleet together and headed down to Romi, which IMO should be our base of operations because

a) they have to use high level locator agents since it's in a different region from where they have high standings and

b) it's really close to where they usually are

We went down to gank MicroWarpdrive II, who logged off right before we got there. We were disappointed at first, but perked up when we realized that they had a Navy Mega running around. Unfortunatly it docked up and logged off a few hours later. The good news is that the US TZ crew now has their gank fleet stationed in Romi. We'll get a gank or two out of this.
