As for myself, hey, I'm pretty crappy at the game, and I did have a couple of incredibly stupid losses while in Hatchery, but you don't have to be a dick about it.

I'm neither defending nor criticizing the Brave Newbies folks with that post, other than maybe for their having grown way too fast and being disorganized.
I have a sense that this crowd are in the too-common category of being pretty bad themselves but not realizing it.

I'm in no position to judge -- I was just expressing a suspicion. In fact it doesn't matter much, though, because the culture of chaos runs so deep in that corp that the leaders could have the best EVE ideas ever and not get anyone's attention.
As for whether the environment is toxic, I'd agree that it's not, in the sense that most people are having fun most of the time.

on BNI, we have pretty terrible organization, most of our "PvP" classes are just on how not to die like a retard, the help chat is just mainly slapping people for hauling through hisec on their main, and our "doctrine" is usually "we are bringing armor logi, so yea, armor things."
Its a pretty fun group of people though, and the nice thing is there is literally ALWAYS something going on, though that just may be because of the situation in rah. Main thing is since the corp is based on just having fun, no one gets too mad at anyone for fucking up, and we just laugh and die in an endless spiral.
but yea, we are pretty bad  , and a few guys don't realize it, which can be funny.

I went to a BNI stream on twitch randomly one day.
God, their comms. They spent 5 minutes having some guy say "CHECK CHECK, how do I assist with drones???" After 4 people tried yelling each over, each part way through an explanation, they finally come to the conclusion that he had ECM drones.
Then you get the constant chatter of noobs calling out on 70 man comms something they think is awesome about their ship: "Dude, I can shoot out to like 50k!"
I can't stand that for very long...
Although, same thing happens in null alliances...

Just tried the new loot pinata in a relic site.
