yea but the whole point of the game is based on the idea that no one knows who is who, but teamliquid mafias have a bad track record of leaks so this doesnt make sense to us. thats probably why you are uneasy Ace. That and the fact that its pretty easy to find out who is who with these roles.

What is "this"? I'm slightly confused by what you're saying.

The game could be anything it evolves into, and even then, no one can really be confirmed until a detective confirms him, BUT because of the new roles this game, even that information could become void. It will still be "based on the idea that no one knows who is who," as you put it.

TL mafias don't have a track record for leaking. That was only one game. And that was only one person.


It's also impossible to find out who is who with these roles, but if it weren't wouldn't that contradict your first sentence? o_O I'm lost, haha.

Yeah i thought the same, the only chance to mafia against a roleclaimed NRA is to sacrifice yet another to roleclaim too, worst case scenario we will have 5 townies roleclaiming NRA, lol.

Perhaps with the advent of insane DTs, they should get infinite role checks? 1/day. Otherwise you will never be able to confirm. You'll need 2 DTs to check one person to make see if they get different answers. If one is sane and one is not, you won't know which is sane or not. Thus by the time you may/may not figure it out, you've run out of checks. Mafia impersonations get so much easier. You can claim DT and nobody will know since you may be an insane cop.

We should also do this to the anarchist. Make only 1, not 2. Remove the burn the house down thing. Instead, implement:

Anarchist: You are not allowed to vote! (you may obstain). In addition, once during the game you randomly sabotage the vote and nobody dies by lynch.(1)

no it doesn't.

As a DT, depending on who you are it's easy to find out if you're sane or not.

1.) You find out someone's role without using a check. This happens multiple times during the game. And it also happens a lot on Day 1.

2.) Put their name on a list with suspected mafia and PM caller.

3.) depending on how the person from part 1 checks you know whether you're sane or not AND you know if the 4 other people are legit or not.

if the godfather tries to recruit someone into the mafia but that person is protected by the medic does he waste that recruit like will he only be able to do it one more time at 1/2 or will he still have both uses at 2/2?

@ Ace: How would you do that? Rolecheck yourself? Rolecheck a dead person? And you still have to waste one of your role checks.

Also you don't know if the other 4 people are legit or not. If you're using a listcheck to find out if you're sane or not...that won't work.
