As I said before, there is no reason to try to prove anything, there is no way and no point whether I was telling the truth or not, and that is what role calling does. It builds trust around whatever is called. and yes, I get the concept of him not knowing if his results are sane or not, but see what I mean in this situation. Lets say me you and ver are made DTs by Caller, Caller decides that Ver is the insane DT. Everything he checks is corrupt. me and you would always be clean and have sane results. How would he decide whether the Jack is supposed to see what a sane or insane DT sees? Just flip a coin every time the Jack uses his DT power? | ||

AttackZerg on Day 1 claims he is the DT and investigated Ver and says he is Mafia. 1.) AttackZerg is mafia. A.) lynch Ver, he flips townie and you lynch AZ for lying. B.) lynch Ver, find out he's mafia but know nothing of AZ's status. C.) lynch AZ find out he's blue, and lynch Ver. D.) lynch AZ, find out he's mafia and know nothing about Ver. You'll notice that in 2 of those 4 instances - the outcome is very bad. Add in VI and the only thing that benefits the town 100% of the time is C. There is no ambiguity there. Or let me put it to you this way: 2 kids run up to you, and one claims the other is a liar but that he himself always tells the truth. Which one would you deal with to know the truth? | ||

In your situations you leave out the mental aspect and behavior analysis that happens all of day one while the drama is going on. If something can't be decided, you can always just lynch someone else if it is too close to call. The chance of the mafia risking 2 players to gain infiltration and trust isn't high, both players involved in this scenario will probably be checked somewhere down the line. and you talk about them like they are all equal valued roles, while the blue can be more valuable to the town if true, the blue can also check and do more things to prove he is genuine after the fact, if he can't hold up after his initial role claim, then you kill him. | ||

I think you gave this up too soon Ace, we had our chances with the inactive RS, and the VI not wanting to help the Town. But malongo fucked us up there, nothing to say about that  | ||
