But the best sports writer ever has to be Bill James. The Historical Baseball Abstract and Win Shares are two of the best books I've ever read. In fact, I read the Historical Baseball Abstract in one sitting, all 800 or so pages.

there's 0 guarantee that he'll come back playing as well as he did before
people do stupid shit when they have extremely large contracts, they should be responsible for it
No one said they wouldn't resign him, but what they should have done was negate his contract, make him sign a 1 year deal and earn that big figure again

More specific prayers should be:
1. Deron's ankle problem doesn't turn out to be a problem.
2. Boozer doesn't get distracted by the opportunity to do to the Jazz what he did to the Cavs.
3. Okur plays the full season like he did during the second half of last season.
4. Kirilenko stays healthy.

Okur is useless I hope they cut his ass. A dominant big guy would be nice but we havent seen a good one since before Ostertag, Kirilenko is a bad ass mofo tho. Boozer and Williams are like the 70 year old version of Malone and Stockton, they are always getting hurt which is a big problem to our momentum. The Jazz have championship material but they got stuffed in 98 by the Bulls (I believe had any other team met the Jazz that year we would have a title) and now they just cant get their act together. I know Sloan is going to quite sooner or later if his title doesnt come around.
