Golden State are such pussies. They should have shredded his contract - he just fucked their entire season because he was a retard. But they didn't want to do that because they would fear losing him. But seriously, he really fucked them big time.

GoOoOo Jazz! We didn't really pick up anyone this year, but i don't necessarily see that as being a bad thing. We have a very solid team and the only thing that is hurting us is not having a true center. If we can win some road games and have home court advantage in the playoffs, JAZZ FOR THE NBA FINALS!!

people, lets not forget about portland trailblazers. u have brandon roy, greg odin, lamarcus aldridge, and those rookies they picked up this year. THiS IS THEIR YEAR.... to get better as a team so they can be a playoff contendor in the years to come T___T

give portland 2-3 more years, and they will surpass lakers as a championship contender.

lol Atlanta is going to be garbage. I'm really interested in the East this year, I think they will be better than expected (not close to skill in the West but IMO the relative skill of East teams increase and got a lot closer)... the race for the playoffs on both sides is looking to be really awesome.

I'm rooting for Milwaukee as a sleeper team in the East to do well.

Houston looks good on paper but I dunno if Artest is the answer to our perennial injury problem. It would be nice if we could have a full, healthy team going into the playoffs though. This is a team that should be able to contend for the championship but hasn't for whatever reasons. Would be nice to see more offensive contribution from everybody not named Tmac/Yao this season.

Houston is going to be a huge bust, T-Mac is going to be injured for 25+ games this season, they will either a) miss the playoffs or b) lose in the first round , and I predict T-Mac retires at the end of the season, or gets traded to a team like San Antonio to become one of those highly skilled veterans (AKA Michael Finley) who sacrifices his individual carrier to win a championship.

Simmons is BY FAR the best sports writer I have ever read. I always bash on J.A Adande and Jamele Hill for trying to infuse non sports topics (like gender / racial issues) into their articles, and for good reason... but Simmons did it and it was truly amazing in how he was able to seamlessly talk about Elgin Baylor and the racial atmosphere in sports during those times.

Adande and Hill need to take lessons from him, every time they try to do it they always sound contrived and like they are trying to be WAY more important than they really are with their articles.. but Simmons is just great.

P.S am I the only one who really wants Oklahoma City to do well this year and defy expectations ? Durant is my new favorite player besides Kobe so I'm rooting for him to have a huge year and carry his team to a decent rec.
