I accidentally selected Ragna's black costume (4) a couple times by hitting the D button on char select and I felt like a huge joke, he looks like an emo-goth teenager that forgot to apply his eyeliner
MY HAKAMA IS AS DARK AS MY SOUL
as black as his inner beast imo
So sad that Hsien immediately changed up the way he plays against my Tager the game after I backdashed through his pressure a billion times. Now I have to work hard again.

If you wanna make your own you can make a sick looking stick by ordering a box for norris arcade boxes and hooking it up with parts from lizardlick with a cthulhu board. If soldering's your thang, using a PS1 dualshock pcb is really easy as well. I went with dualshocks for my first couple sticks but the cthulhu board is crazy easy to use. When my tourny edition xbox stick comes in I'm definitely throwing in a cthulhu for dual system support.
Oh yeah, word from IRC. Markman (the Madcatz dude responsible for the SFIV sticks) is considering making a universal adaptor for PS2 -> PS3/360/Wii. I -know- some people out there wanna play with a PS2 pad.
I'm getting a Namco PS2 stick and GGXX #R for PS2 tomorrow, playing BB on Friday, and then going to an MvC2 tournament/hang out all day Sunday. Shit's busy yo
Hey so I just moved to Long Beach and I've been playing a lot of 3s on GGPO with shitty controller. I need to go check my skills on the real machines lag free at a real arcade. (I'm not that good, but I'm above average I think). Where should I go? I also wanna play sf4, which I still havent played yet! also Sick match here:
Apparently a bunch of retailers are already all out of the Madcatz TE SF4 stick (sung_moon, that's the ~1/2 price, w/ imitation parts regular edition). As in, they've sold out all the stock they're getting, just from preorders already.
edit: hm maybe it's just they're not taking preorders anymore to have enough in stock once it's released

Closest place to Long Beach is maybe Arcade Infinity in Rowland Heights or Superarcade in Walnut. I think UCLA is probably around the same distance. Check out the thread on SRK and look up which place is closest to you. I think UCLA has the only SF4 machine that has US sticks, everywhere else seems to have Japanese/Korean sticks.
If you want the best SF4 competition, definitely go to AI but be prepared to wait like 1/2 an hour for a game during peak hours since there are so many people. If you wanna come to LA, we can get some games. If you're willing to make the drive up to Denjin, that's where you'll find the best 3s competition.
Here's a TvC post-tourney casual from our event last weekend. The guy on the left using Ryu/Morrigan got 1st place. The guy on the right using PTX-40A got 9th with Doronjo/Batsu.
Now the thing is, none of us knew you could tech PTX-40A's throw. Furthermore, it turned out PTX could even grab you out of the air! Hilarity ensued. =D

On another note, is anyone else here planning on getting the Madcat's tourney edition stick?
I finished ordering my 360 TE stick and cthulhu board, shipping set me back 40 bucks -____- Hopefully I don't fry my PCB's doing this, but having a 360/PS3 dual pcb stick would be amazing.
I avoided paying for shipping by getting it direct from the gamestop nearby. Especially since I had approximately 300 dollars of store credit...gotta love abusing their trade-ins with the remainders of my Wii/GC software.
Lol if you have anything Wii-related, trade it in, I got 20 dollars back for a freaking wii-mote, and brawl's trade-in is still worth more than 90% of the games. Trading in my Wii stuff was the best thing I did this whole week, not like I did anything with it.
