Category A Street Fighter IV (3 on 3) Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion (3 on 3) Blazblue: Continuum Shift (2 on 2) Arcana Heart 3 (2 on 2) King of Fighters 2002UM (1 on 1) Virtua Fighter 5R (3 on 3)
Category B Guilty Gear AC (3 on 3) Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (3 on 3) Sengoku Basara X (1 on 1) SSF2 Super Turbo (3 on 3)
wtf Sengoku Basara X lol. Melty is again MIA for some reason, hm...
the hell i thought sengoku basara is a dynasty warrior-esque mass beat me up?
tvc is pretty popular in east coast (at least in philly/ny) they just had tvc in battlefield arcadia ten and UP just got reopened after a fire and when i was there the marvel crew was there playing both the arcade and console versions. it looks really fun actually
TvC is garbage. Maybe the console version will fix some problems and make it less horrible. At least the combos were fun while they lasted. ...which was the entire round :V
IIRC 2k2UM is newer than XII. It was getting loketested while XII was already out, from what I remember (in particular, a video of 2k2UM loketest with XII cabinets being used as cup holders). So technically it's the "latest" KoF game.
My theory on Melty being MIA - FT is coming out, don't want to have another AH1 -> AHF situation, etc. Though... SBX? Guess Capcom and ArcSys are both sad that their respective infinite-laden poverty games are out, so they're pushing to get their infinite-laden joint project into SBO :V
Looks like category A is new games, category B is old games chosen/voted in somehow. Hopefully this is some 2ch photoshop trolling and SBX isn't for real...

Taken from 2ch along with a screenshot (I will verify this on Saturday when the issue comes out) is a listing of the games that will be at Super Battle Opera 2010! The date and location have yet to be confirmed but I will try to find that out too. The games are broken up into two different categories, although I’m not sure what they represent… again, I will verify this all on Saturday when the issue hits.
Yeah, hopefully the "screenshot" (magazine-shot?) is fake.

who the fuck put kof12 in instead of that
not that i would vote for anything other than marvel
+1 on all counts.
The idea of having Evo without Marvel doesn't sit well with me. It should be noted they'll be using ps3 mahvel, not the legendary dreamcast port; I think that has a lot to do with it not being a lock and not getting as many votes as it should.
Much as I love 3s, people need to admit that game has died. When the fuck did cvs2 get a following outside norcal though? I'm starting to think the people voting cvs2 have forgotten what it's like to actually play and watch cvs2.
From what I've seen so far, I really hope that if marvel isn't the game picked, it'll be Melty. That'll actually bring in different players, have some exciting new gameplay (at least for those of us not familiar with it lolllll), etc. How do people even play MBAA though? JP/hacked ps2s? I kinda want to learn some basics so I can understand what's going on come evo time lol
My melty blood knowledge is currently limited to this video
MBAA actually emulates very well on most mid-range computers bought in the last year or so. I play it on my PS2 though, not much since no one here plays :D
If it doesn't win, then MvC2 would be great as well. Or even 3s. But CvS2... that game is really fun in scrub-level casuals, but I'm not a fan of it at a high level. =/
