I'm on the west coast and playing people in Japan is near lagless. It has an incredible online, as well as tough and amazing opponents similar to ICCUP. If you don't have it, the game is only $15. You get ICCUP quality opponents, near lagless experience against anywhere, observer mode to watch friends play, replays, daily uploaded expert replays. There is a Japanese tournament held about every month and foreigner are welcome to participate. The last one I've seen was a 128 man tournament. They are always looking for new blood. The VO community is great and willing to help any newcomers. Gundam weapons don't aim very well in the middle of a dash or step, though it depends on what side your target is on relative to you, as your weapon's firing angle typically won't let you shoot across your body. So vector dashing is kinda there, though tbh if someone keeps stepping it's pretty hard to hit them with, say, a beam rifle. Obviously it depends on the weapon type and timing (Calamity and Abyss's wide angle beam spread cannon shots come to mind), and melee is typically pretty strong though you can step melee if they are stupid about it. Usually you land hits by intercepting someone's movement (ie. you position yourself into their step direction and shoot them), or with teamwork (or just catching someone sleeping). Or moves that take up a lot of space (lol dragoons) or track hilariouslyl well (lol Freedom plasma cannons). Or melee :V I could go on and on about Gundam Vs. theory and strategy, lol. | ||

1. MSS vs Cable Iron Storm - Chunksta kills Storm but loses sentinel. Chunksta then kills Iron Man, but Mike Ross lands AHVB on both Storm and Mag! Chunksta with low-health Mag, but wins with mixups. GG.  2. MSS vs Matrix - Chunksta lands double snap: Sentinel dead. Mike Ross fights back with Cyclops but Chunksta DHCs Mag out before he dies. Then he finishes off Mike Ross. Grand finals now: Chunksta vs Neo. | ||

1. MSS vs Santhrax - Neo snaps in Commando, but somehow Commando is actually kicking ass and instead of DHCing Commando out, Chunksta snaps in low-health Mag and chips him with Commando -> Storm DHC! Chunksta kills the next 2 chars and wins. 2. MSS vs Santhrax - Quick win by Chunksta. 3. Santhrax vs Santhrax - Another quick win by Chunksta. Neo vs Chunksta set 2 (bo5) 1. Santhrax vs Santhrax - Didn't see it, but Chunksta wins with 35 ticks left on the clock. 2. Santhrax vs Santhrax - Chunk wins. 3. Santhrax vs Santhrax - Neo kills Sent, but has low life Storm and Sent. Chunk kills Storm. Neo kills Storm. Neo wins. 4. Santhrax vs Santhrax - Chunk kills Capcom assist but lets Neo get the Storm inf vs Sent, losing him. Chunk kills Storm. Chunk kills Sent for the win. SF4 top 8 coming up next. 2-bar 4-chop combos are sexy! Yeb almost wins game 1 but Floe hits a tiger uppercut into ultra combo for the win -- and he gets booed for it by the crowd, lol.Game 2 round 1: close game, and wow I dunno WTF just happened: Gen did EX wall jump, somehow must've been invincible 'cause Floe tried to j.HK him and it MISSED, and Yeb wins with a divekick! Round 2 goes to Floe. Round 3 really close, but Yeb takes it! =D Game 3 now... | ||

Game 3 now. FC wins round 1 decisively. Round 2 FC has an early lead but Ed Ma comes back and wins with PIXELS, though imo FC had it if he didn't screw around with dumb teleports on Ed's wakeup. ~_~ Round 3 FC takes a lead again. Ed Ma corners FC, rushes him down, DIZZIES HIM, WINS! | ||
