Furthermore, it sounds like Karas is going to be banned or soft-banned during our casuals from here on. Personally I want to learn how to play against him, but it honestly isn't fun doing so in the middle of a game. =P I'd rather do it in Training mode. | ||

Viper) I went ahead and pre-ordered that and the TE fighter stick. Also they said if you entered the Evo tourney last year your not able to enter in the GS tourney.. it's madness! I'm out of touch with the GG/SRK community. no AC as a main game last year swapping from Slash to AC after two regions had done qualifiers in Slash (even when it was confirmed that Japanese PS2 AC was a piece of trash... but I guess that's on part of "the community" that figured it would be okay anyways). Same year they perma-banned fubarduck from SRK because he called them out for having LCDs at Evo East; of course they made themselves out to be heroes by driving vans to Wal-Mart at midnight to buy CRTs for the tournament AFTER fubar's post, which is all fine and dandy but let's not kid ourselves. not having #R one year, despite it having a long-standing PS2 release, because there wasn't a US release (despite the entire scene playing it on modded/Japanese PS2's) the only thing I can stand less than the way Evo has treated the GG community, is the way certain people have taken it upon themselves to be "spokesmen" for the community to make it look like the community is fine with this crap year after year. Too bad PZ drama managed to draw attention away from this kind of stuff for 2 years and our "spokesmen" got to yell on the internet some more. So yeah screw the Evolution Fighting Game Convention series. | ||

Edit: guys some pretty good news (23:07:08) (Arlieth) hey, i just want to say, i don't know whether it's the lack of people on the server or if the coding is really good, but the online play is fucking PERFECT (23:07:22) (VF4) for SFIV? (23:07:24) (Arlieth) yes (23:07:36) (VF4) when the game comes out it for the first month it's goin to chug (23:07:37) (Arlieth) using a pad though, thumb is numb D: (23:08:20) (Arlieth) but i'm playing with the PS3 hooked to wireless (not direct ethernet) to someone else in california (gametrailers.com) and there's zero lag (23:08:40) (Arlieth) i hope it stays this good doesnt sound too bad. i mean sirlin turbo is actually pretty good for online console fighting so if its better than thats a plus | ||

Seems like a lot of people are worried things will change when more people get on the server, but since the game is (most probably) P2P, that doesn't even matter. Well, the number of people on matters for finding matches, but it shouldn't effect performance within a game. | ||

Still, word from people testing the online is good. Arlieth ran more tests with people from Seattle too. He didn't say anything about EC, but he said all the people playing on the test things were media so there had to be some EC and stuff. | ||
