We are resolving a number of issues related to network outages at one of our major NoCs. We have WWW back online and limited DB connectivity. Progress is being made... I'll update this thread as more information passes my way.


is the latest update. does anyone know what the fukc that means?

Bad administration? It's good to see you know what the problem is, because S2 says it was caused by network outages etc. at one of their data centers.

On the other hand, when it takes approx. 3 hours (or more, this is only my own timeframe) to actually say something to your customers (an update on the forums), it means the administration is pretty damn terrible.

Maybe ~10 posts total are bashing hon. I've been posting since before hon was even out when this thread was started in 07. Learn to fucking read.

It is bad administration. And rofl @ you still trusting what S2 says. As naib pointed out its retarded that they don't put out official messages until way later, and when talking to individual admins they give out conflicting answers.

One, two, even three days acceptable...probably a week total outage for some players is not acceptable for a paying customer.
HF with HoN you seem to love it a lot.

what paying customer ?

You paid once for HoN and only some puny 20 $ so dont go around talking like you own S2 games. And it's the freaking weekend. Of course they wont have full staff in their departments. And when the problem is with an external provider S2 Games can do even less.

Don't get me wrong, I like the game itself...just the way that they're running things shows immanent flaws, even according to my very limited amount of experience.

And that doesn't mean "omg they are so slow in fixing the DDoS attack!!!1111one". I am no technical junkie, I have no knowledge of this field. As a commerce and marketing student however, I think I'm qualified to say that their PR / customer support is lackluster at it's best. When they finally wake up and react it's passable, but it usually takes too long. And the customer is never patient

looking at their company page, they only have 10 people that may or may not be able to speak to the issue or even determine what it is. as someone who has worked in the tech field on summer break over the last four years or so, they're doing the best they can with what they've got. ;o

anyone that bought the game can provide a worthwhile opinion on their customer support, but to complain about this is laughable, IMO. you go out and buy a brand new game, you might get 10 hours of playtime for 60 bucks. by those standards, paying 30 bucks for HoN would've gotten you, like, five games? anyone playing that didn't run away in their first few games because the community chased them out has gotten their money's worth many times over. when our credit card info gets leaked because it was stored in an unencrypted plaintext file in a nonsecure server, we can be rightfully outraged.
