Yes they are out, can't say it is totally out of expectation though. England aren't impressive but they are still able to play a good basic game as can be seen when they played Tonga and Samoa, admittedly they look lacklustre as compared to Australia in the group stages.

darkyoda u obviously dont follow rugby at all to consider england a top contender even with wilkinson they probably have their worst team EVER since the last world cup

huge game tonight NZ vs FR ... this will probably decide who makes it to the finals on that side of the bracket

in all likely hood NZ will win but france is very capable of creating problems with Chabal (who upon the last game with the all blacks broke someones jaw - cant remember whose but he plays 2nd row rated best in the world in that position)

Aus will rape england... south africa is most likely to beat fiji and then aus ... basically imo
South Africa vs New Zealand/France in finals

whoever wins the neo/french game will almost automatically go to the finals Z_z;:

No I don't think England is a top contender at all (not anywhere in my posts you find that). All I'm saying is that they played like crap and won, but why? They are fairly decent and on a lucky day, they would scrap through, like today...

[edit]: Also, the only team that "looks" like a top contender is NZ and SA. Eventhough they can screw it up still.
