As to the try that they didn't get, I'm not really sure what the England captain was on about "unlucky referee decisions". The foot was clearly out of bounds before the try was scored. It might be unlucky that his foot went out, but it definitely wasn't an unlucky decision. This game was also fantastically refereed, best refereeing so far. He kept the game under control at all times. I also really appreciate that there were no punches thrown during the game, shows great control by the England team. Great game through and through, definitely my favourite game of the RWC even without it being the finals! As to the Pumas playing in the Tri Nations, they were actually accepted to play in the Tri Nations for 2009, but there were some legal issues, including the fact that the tournament's name the "Tri" nations had been fixed until 2011, so last I heard the Argies might join in 2011. I really doubt they'd join the Six Nations though, the six nations is an exclusively european/northern hemisphere tournament, while the Tri Nations is a southern hermisphere tournament. Oh, and I thought the closing ceremony was really good. Such a fabulous tournament hosted by France. Really nice closing ceremony. | ||

The try was good for me, the foot wasn't touching the line imo. It was really close, but the foot went up just before the line. Then the ref forgot a clear penalty when Habana came in front of the ball preventing the tackle. Then he gave a penalty to SA for the same foul that wasn"t really clear that time. But overall, the best team of the tournament won, that's pretty obvious. White did an amazing job, his team is very complete, Montgomery kicks well (i remember times when he had much more trouble :p), best team in line outs, one of the best scrums (England stands there), very good back division... Du Preez is clearly the best player of the WC (i'd love to say Hernandez is, but i'm biased, he plays in Paris and he's my favourite player), his play is fantastic and makes it up for James, a very standard player with nothing special, he looks pretty weak in this team! Habana received best player of the year award... well i guess it was expected, but i'm sorry, Hernandez is much better than him. Habana runs faster than anyone else, but well... his defensive skills are reduced to one strategy: do or die interception. Hernandez has everything, Habana doesn't. | ||
