Fuck you, you just spoiled the whole game for me. Damn internet assholes.
+ Show Spoiler +Just kidding lol. And yeah the namesake comes from a lot of places, that being one of the more overt ones.

lol I completely forgot about the first game and was thinking about the Sun god. I'm pretty excited to see how this new one ties in with all of that.

Have the beta, the game is fucking incredible, potentially better than Dues Ex 1, and a lot more deep.

They would have to really really fuck the plot up and there is a lot of potential in the story, enough to give me serious nerd chills.

For Germans the latin pronounciation is easy though, but I still like it when Americans speak it (saw once a televised chatolic church event). I once again read through the whole wikipage of deus ex 1 quotes... So legendary and so pity I can't remember most of it (mostly due to the fact that when I played the game my english was very at it's beginning). It's pathetic though that even in 10, no 11 years since deus ex no other game could bring such a plot, such free decision-making, stylish hero, stealth/action/fps/ in one mix. Vampire: Masquerade Bloodlines came so so close to pulling it off, but the developers weren't given the opportunity to put out a truly polished game and the final result suffered from all the bugs. If you have not played the game I highly recommend it for any Deus Ex fan. There are fan-created patches that have fixed a lot of the bugs and even added extra content making the game now actually playable. I can vouch for Vampire Bloodlines being awesome. Make sure you download the fan patches though.
Listen to these guys. Every fan of DE should give VtMB a go, it's great game.

Just preordered the Augmented Edition from GAME. I've always lamented the fact that they were so few RPG/FPS Hybrids out there and with Deux Ex 3 and ES:Skyrim coming out this year, I have a feeling that sentiment will go away at least for a good while. I'm so pumped! Oh and I'm gonna pass the time by revisiting Oblivion. Never got to play it with all the fancy mods installed so I'm psyched about that as well :D

Do you realise the seriousness of what you are saying?
I consider myself to be very, very picky when it comes to good stories and DE1 gave me several moments when I thought I had everything figured out and NOPE, I'm just more confused now.
Like when Daedelus bails you out of prison, you don't even know who the fk he is and once you leave the MJ12(?) complex you pop out in the basement of UNATCO, from that freaking door you couldnt open at the beginning of the game!?!?!?!
FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU--------
I WANNA PLAY NOW RAWR!!!

That's a great point. Hopefully with the ensured success of these two games the genre will become more popular.
Realistically though I think we're at a super rare time where these games with extremely long development cycles are being released at similar times. It's like the rpg solstice except much more rare =P

You know there's going to be some moment like that in this game, I just hope it doesn't creep up on you in the same way, or all fans of the original will probably spot it too soon.

That was indeed a good moment. I forgot about that moment and how legendary it was.

...and just as we speak about VtMB, it goes on sale on Steam, for 5 euro. It's still one month to DE release, perfect time to give Bloodlines a go .
