For older PC and 3DS games, I have to question that segment's need for certain ports and their irrational hatred of the 3DS. Some games (Etrian Odyssey Nexus/Persona Q2) wouldn't work for the Switch without a significant design of gameplay mechanics. Better to have a sequel or a spiritual successor designed from the ground up for the Switch rather than a port.

The 3DS isn't an option because the 3DS is a dead platform. The Switch is doing to the DS family that the DS did to the Gameboy line. With 2019, it's over. There's also the issue of power, a recent port in the case of Civilization 6(despite being 2+ years old) has "significantly exceeded expectations". The 3DS can't even hope to provide a platform that is able to do that and many are without an iOS device that can. As for the games you noted specifically, I'm not familiar with them, so I can't really speak to that desire or the difficulty of making it work. | ||

We got updates and release dates, Maker 2, Astral Chains, Tetris BR, Definite version of DQIX, tons of cool looking JRPG games (Oninaki looks really good), DxM demo is really fun, etc... | ||

Great direct imo. Hyped for Link's Awakening remake. It was my first ever Zelda game so this is pure nostalgia. Fire Emblem looks decent, Astral Chain could be good. And aren't we getting the new Pokemon game in 2019 too? Another good year for Switch? | ||
