I went totally casual after the first two weeks or so, mostly just played by having phone in my pocket hatching eggs while running.
But today I walked ~20km with phone in my hand. Will have my first Gyarados and Arcanine before this event is over, good times. Zero fucks given about the constant rain.
At 281 Gastly candy already too, kind of stopped catching most of those to conserve my Poke balls a bit. It's a pity that Gengar seems to be rubbish in this game compared to the real games.

Buddy candy bonus is butts for me. Nothing I have will get me new entries into the dex, since the only evolver I'm missing is an Omastar but I have no 80+ Omanyte, and all of my good moveset Snorlax/Lapras are all super low leveled.
Oh well, at least I can stock up on candies so I can get that last push to 30 quicker.

Is it me or has the GPS gotten a lot spottier? Places where it used to have a normal capacity to work have suddenly become holes where GPS is no longer found. Which is kind of frustrating when I'm trying to walk my phone.

i believe your OS will use a combination of your cellular signal, gps reciever and wifi (if on) to triangulate your position. Turning on wifi will help in this case.

Typical. Fortunately it just started warming up for the weekend but the last two days were brutally cold and rainy.
@Logo I've hatched probably 8 5ks now and its been pretty uneventful. The poliwag one was nice as my Wrath will be ready to level up for a while now. The highlight so far beyond the Kabuto was out on a run I found an 829 Bellsprout 80+IV which really has nothing to do with the event but super nice. Even got a grass move for the first time in 3 Victreebells
