I don't think I will ever get into a gym.
There's a modifier in place that lowers the defending pokemons CP based on your trainer (?) level. Was in the most recent patch. I see level 14s in gyms now. Will just be a little harder to stick around since you won't have the highest CP pokemon to get to the upper rungs.
I'm a little bummed I just two weeks ago finally got enough for my Marowak and Gengar and now its like taking candy from a baby to get one but its still a nice change of pace and encouraging to see this type of thing from Niantic. Really all I care about is the buddy candy x4 though

I've found he's nice to have around for mons with secondary Psychic typing that didn't roll psychic moves (Slowbro comes to mind) you tear them up without the double-edged sword hitting you back.

apparently, a 100% increase of zero is still zero. i still dont see any gastlies. meowths and cubones for days, but none of our ghost friends. also, bats, lots of bats.

im actually seeing lures again. three lures near my office (none within reach). havent seen lures around here in maybe a month or two. lets hope for monthly events.

I was going for a bit longer walk today now that I've recovered from a cold and the weather improved (also got to see more of a nearby industrial area nearby that I've rarely been to for natrual reasons). I walked past an elementary school and (most likely as a part of the Halloween event) a Gengar spawned nearby. That caused a few very enthusiastic kids shout something among the lines of "OMG OMG It's a Gengar!"(mine was a bad one though, but I don't care.).

These high CP Cubones and Gastly are butchering my supply of balls. Im gonna go downtown tomorrow and fill up. And destroy all my non max potion potions and revives

In a recent patch they made it so training friendly gyms scales defenders down to your level+2, so you'll always be able to get into gyms for your team. It's only opposing team gyms where you get screwed.

My 4 turned into Omanyte(Omastar is one of the 3 I need for NA dex) but hade poor IVs, and Eevee that I don't care to evolve until gen2, a Kabuto that I don't need, and a bad Pinsir. T_T

I had nothing but 2km eggs a few weeks ago. Now I have nothing but 5km eggs. Improvement???
Also, I realized I misspelled Exeggcute as Eggsecute on a previous page. I suck at Pokemoning.

Granted, I have over 124 before the event started, I'm closing in on 475 Gastly candy.

A nice side effect is this will put a huge dent in getting the gold badge for ghost and ground. A lot of g's there.
Also was lucky enough to snag another 10km last night so hopefully this next one is more exciting :D
