Yes but it's rare, BO5s can last up to 5+ hours so it's pretty stressful on the players and organizers.

I've played csgo since its inception, and enjoy the game. With that said I personally wouldn't say that its a better or more tactically interesting game than Bw/sc2 or any of the quake games. I think a lot of the popularity does revolve around the skins and the relatively simple mechanics in relation to lol or other popular games. | ||

MM would be unplayable lol. Even with the game at 50% off this weekend for the major it will be pretty bad the next couple weeks for match makers. | ||

In 1.6 though there were some double elim tournaments Bo3 where the final could be 2xBo3 if the team from the loser's bracket won the first Bo3. Historically there's been a lot of Bo1 even in playoffs. | ||
