Maps & Format
In Season 7, the Professional skill division will play all regular season matches as a best-of-two series using the current Valve Major's map pool. Maps will be decided inside of the client prior to each match with CEVO's veto system outlined below.
1) Home bans one map 2) Away bans one map 3) Home picks map #1 (side choice to Away) 4) Away picks map #2 (side choice to Home)
Three out of the five players are from the US, while the other two are Canadian. I guess give them a US Flag because of majority? Edit: Here is their Team link: http://play.esea.net/teams/74735
Massive night tonight for the top teams, as the teams are getting their CEVO matches out of the way for MLG. I'll just be highlighting the big games of tonight as all the pro division teams play tonight (will update when we know the stream scheduling)

Its usually a round after a team loses the round before it where they don't have enough money for everyone to buy rifles, armor, and grenades so they dont buy anything in order to save for the next round after. Eco stands for economy round.
So winning an eco round is a really big deal because you basically win while spending no money + get a bunch of extra money for winning the round on top of the money you already saved.

That is arguable. They haven't looked as good since hiko joined unfortunately. But on paper I agree. Also, not sure what is going on with their lack of org support at this point. Has me wondering if there are some issues with that that could be causing motivation issues.

It's hard to name a team that you'd favor over them in NA, even with the loss to now-CLG in the MLG quals.
I think cloud 9 would wreck them on lan tbqh. Especially because Shahzam has been playing out of his mind.
Watched CS GO for the first time tonight.. seems amazing even when I dont play. Too bad liquid lost but it was still eyeopening and very enjoyable to watch

Shahzam is wrecking online. All 5 of the GX players are proven winners on LAN. 4 of them are ex IBP who outplaced C9 on LAn for 3-4 events straight and the 5th is Hiko who was easily C9's best player and left C9 because he wanted to win with a more dedicated team.
C9 is still a very big question mark on LAN with this new team. They even got the easier bracket in MLG aspen and now they gotta show up.
In other news , Liquid is looking like having so much potential in this roster. They have a very good CT side but seem totally clueless on T side strategies and lose way too much on T side of maps.Aiming wise , nitro and Fugly are as good as anyone in NA.
Mythic vs Lunatik going on right now. One round in, Hades has connection problems and can't reconnect. So for his replacement, Mythic calls in Skadoodle. No breaks for Lunatik lol.
edit: welp, skadoodle ddosed also 7th round in now too..

c9 vs lunatik was great
n0thing gets ddos'd, c9 can't win but plays 10 or so rounds with n0thing popping in and out. The match is forfeited, which to my knowledge meant that CSGL should refund all skins. But CSGL apparently declared that lunatik won, though only 15 rounds were played.
What I'm getting: DDOSing is an effective way to win skins. It just is. Everyone should get botnets, work to find the IPs of players, and have a good time.

finding player IPs shouldnt be hard since very few have netsec knowledge. I'm probably sure 90% of csgo players are still using VOIP software unprotected and not behind VPNs (and the worst part is they're probably using skype which should be nuked from orbit)

I myself don't know how to protect against DDOS because I've never had to, but I know the means are out there. One of the problems with VPNs for instance is that the relay will naturally increase your ping but I assume you can just patch most of your unsecure crap through a VPN, but connect your game directly to CSGO, which is not a problem so long as no one has your IP (which would be secure if your skype and other garbage are relayed).
Well nonetheless I'm mostly talking out of my ass, my point is fuck everything.
And I don't even bet. I just hate to see the fucking assholes making money and skins or whatever.

best way to protect yourself from DDOS.
1. Don't use skype ever/dont leave it on 2. Only VOIP where the host is some random server somewhere (so mumble/TS) 3. Call your ISP to see if you can routinely cycle your IP.
that's really it. hard part for most people is step 1 since they don't understand netsec

Yeah, well n0thing realistically should know things as basic as that. I'd assume he's getting caught through some other service maybe.
Nonetheless my concern right now is that CSGL rolled a Lunatik won despite a DDOS-related forfeit. I agree that CSGL and those sites shouldn't be held responsible for the DDOS epidemic we're dealing with, but they shouldn't reward it...

CSGOlounge is a crappy website and problem is that there are no other good alternatives (There's like bookie.gg and csgoloot.com but they're not even up yet) so they can corner the market, fuck up, and not really get punished for it.
According to my buddy the roll for the match hasn't ended so I don't know if it's actually taking place, don't really know how it works, but yeah anyways. A damn shame.
Sigh. NA CS is so terrible right now. Only team worth watching gets DDOSd every single match and all the other teams are basically jokes that rely on inconsistent individual performances to ever win anything.
NEW YORK (March 9, 2015) – CEVO, North America’s largest competitive online PC gaming league, and MLG, one of the fastest growing digital networks worldwide, today announced a partnership to allow MLG.tv to become the exclusive broadcast partner for the CEVO CS:GO Season 7 Pro League and host the LAN Finals at the MLG.tv Arena in Columbus, Ohio on July 24-26, 2015.
Season 7 will kick off with two Professional Placement Invitational Tournaments where 16 teams each from North America and Europe will compete for the last available coveted spots in their region’s Season 7 Professional skill division and an eventual shot at the lion’s share of over $135,000 USD in prize money and travel support.
“We were impressed with CEVO’s operation of CS: GO during our historic X Games Aspen broadcast,” said Adam Apicella, EVP, MLG Properties “We’re excited to be working with them again and look forward to what the future holds for this partnership.”
“MLG.tv has been a great partner with us thus far in CS:GO,” said Chris Pipher , General Manager, CEVO “Their ability to produce top-tier events at the MLG.tv Arena and broadcasting acumen is second to none. Together we’ll be able to improve on virtually every aspect of our seasonal CS:GO events.”
I would have been surprised if CLG lost to this Elevate team in all fairness. Elevate had a better chance with just Hiko in, but losing their IGL is what really hurt them against a team like CLG, who already has a lot of team chemistry developed.
LG winning would have been (would be?) just as surprising though. I still don't understand this Arya for Hades replacement. And I say that liking both Arya and Hades and LG being my fav team for most of the seaon. Nihilum looks strong though, it's just hard to tell if it is because LG is so weak or if they really are playing that well.
