bummed out about DigRat's fate. he was my favorite, all of the content that was created around him was the best, especially MY DIGGA. I loved the comedic relief he provided in moments like digging out of the game corner when the silph scope was right next to Red.

what are they trying to do with the PC right? is this Destiny's work or are they trying to get Zapdos again?

You just feel left out so you want to ruin the whole thing? I think it's fascinating how a community was built so quickly around this even if it is rampant with memes and reaction gifs. It's even more amazing they were able to work together to do an optional difficult thing like catching Zapdos.

Stream is currently trying to deposit a poke in the day care so they can more easily withdraw Zapdos but of course the daycare only has 1 tile strip before you jump off the ledge so it's difficult.

I find this whole thing strangely cathartic. I never played Pokemon so I have no idea where you're supposed to go or what to do, but I am generally familiar with the game and the pokemon since it's so ubiquitous. While it seems like the chat is full of frustrated people who are trying to advance and finish the game, I find it just fun to watch what happens. I think since I've never played it, I don't have any emotional involvement in getting to the end. The storylines, memes, and all the yelling in chat are compelling to me though. I watched Bird Jesus gain a bunch of his levels, and when he was one "a" input away from being released, I was seriously scared.

If you had asked me how this was going to turn out before it started, I would have predicted complete failure. But amazingly, tens of thousands of people spamming commands with 20-40 second delays are making consistent progress. The wisdom and power of crowds is pretty amazing. This might be the coolest thing the Internet does this year.

I like when the democracy vs Anarchy wars happen. I really just show up on the stream for a good laugh. I think it is crazy how this thing became so big. I know when I need a laugh I can turn on this stream. I hope another Twitch plays gets this big lol

My hope is that when Twitch Plays Pokemon end, enough population can move to another well-run Twitch plays to make it interesting. My biggest fear is the streamer continuing onto the 2nd generation Pokemon game as he previously said; it will mean we get stuck with the Democracy system again.

As far as I know the stream has only a few hours of gameplay total clocked in as democracy, its made to be a much bigger deal than it really is. Its very likely that without it the game would be stuck in a failed state by now.
