E: I mean dont get me wrong, by all means enjoy it, but people are literally fanatical about this and get so emotional/worked up, its going way too far over meaningless crap such as watching start9 into bumpbumpbumpbump wall. Everyone needs to chill the fuck out IMO. I kind of stopped paying attention after day 3ish. With the advent of democracy and the rise in popularity, the user base literally became an entirely new group of people. It's way too serious now. NO FUN ALLOWED

I didn't even know he still streamed until this happened lol Earlier today he had more viewers than Innovation...! How is that possible? A talentless asshole has more views than one of the best players in the world! Because most people who watch twitch want to be entertained and don't give a fuck about Sc2 skill. If you really think player skill=views then Demuslim wouldn't have like 10 times as many viewers as random korean pros.

There are no ads on the stream.

I've gotten ads every time I tuned in. Also, why is there a subscriber option?
Just curious really, if you're going to do this why not make some money off the side?

I think there are ads on loading, but he's not triggering any extra ones.

Wow, Destiny is pretty dumb...using his own Twitch stream to try and screw around with a stream that's getting Twitch a lot of peripheral attention (it even got an xkcd comic...)?
The only end game to this is Twitch admins suspending/banning his account, and there goes his paycheck. And that's not even considering "witch-hunt" level backlash.
|
I used to usually side with Destiny for most of his actions...but this I cannot.
This is an asshole move to ruin a game for thousands of people. You think many people are going to continue watching if Zapdos, Pidgeot, Lapras etc all get released? Honestly, Idk how some of you can defend him by claiming that "oh, it's for your own good, pokemon sux lol". Such a fucking stupid argument.

I'm just waiting for Destiny to get raided or DDOS'd by some people from TPP.

By the way I prefer anarchy for the stream and I am a follower of no single item(besides maybe S.S. ticket) thank you very much.
The inside meme talk has become a pure circlejerk and everyone who has an opinion besides "LURVE THE HULIX FOSSUL" is now a follower of the dome who doesn't understand TPP etc. etc. This is the mental image I get: http://imgur.com/0wb2zV9
Did you notice that some 20.000 viewers turned off the stream because the majority of people wanted to use the master ball on zapdos rather than snorlax in front of the bike route. The hilarious part is that both Zapdos people and Snorlax people called themselves true helix followers and called the opposing view dome followers.
I just hope we get another pokemon that can use cut into the party without releasing any pokemon that matter.

The subscriber option gives no benefits to the subscriber and only allows them to donate to the host. Given how much entertainment >100k people have gotten from this, I feel he deserves it.

Twitch gave him subscriber button probably because they get half the cut haha. If the guy cared about revenue he'd be running ads.
Ads when you load the stream are on every stream and don't contribute to streamer revenue

If you are a partner the pre-roll ad (the one when you start up the stream) does count for revenue. You have the option (last I checked) to even disable it if you are a partner.

Most people make assumptions about the "pre-stream" ads and how they show up for even small streams.
