I know Dreamhack had a tournament, but the recaps/youtube videos I think are in Swedish. =( I just wanted to know when it comes to professional FIFA 13, what are the basic rules for matches? Do you have to play with default teams or are player trades/purchases legal in pro-gaming matches? Are there specific rules you have to enable in pro-gaming matches? If you were to hold a tournament would you enforce a Bo1/Bo3 format given one day to go through a bracket? Is there a tournament setting in the game? Sorry with the overflow of questions, I am still downloading the game, but with China internet, this could take forever. | ||

Thanks Pendemona, but I'm actually not currently looking to compete myself. I'm volunteering at a tournament and the tournament director wanted me to look into how FIFA13 matches are played out. I also forgot to mention it will be played on PC. Could you help with that? | ||

Game Speed: Normal Half Length: 6 Minutes Game Type: Ranked Conditions (Weather): Clear (NO RAIN/SNOW) Difficulty Level: World Class Injuries: On Offsides: On Time/Score display: On Camera: Tele Radar: 2D or 3D Home Auto Switching: User Settings Away Auto Switching: User Settings Volume Settings: Default Extra Time: extra time of two one (1) minute halves will be played in the event of a draw after regulation. Penalties will decide the winner if after extra time the scores are level Custom formations are not permitted. Custom tactics and set pieces are available, however EA can decide to turn them off at any point in case we identify exploits Cannot pause game when ball is in play (Unless technical problem with controller) If a pause for a technical problem with the controllers occur, opponent can ask for a rematch. If your not using a points system (1point draw 0 loss 3 win) Then it goes Extra Time then Penalties to decide a winner This should be all you need. | ||

First: Injuries off, WCG and all big tournaments I know of have it tourned off. It's bullshit for competition, for obvious reasons. As I haven't found any weather settings on WCG, I assume it's standard (aka random). But go with whatever you prefer on that one. No custom formations, but custom tactics allowed usually, sometimes custom tactics are banned too. Basically what Pandemona said, but with injuries off and weather as you like, normally it's random in big competitions. | ||

Stupid FIFA xD No ball doesn't roll extra in rain it rolls way less, it always comes to a stop when you think a stupidly long lobbed through ball is going out of play lol. Snow makes it roll and bounce like 2x as much lol. | ||

Hm, didn't know WCG ran FIFA13 Looked up the rules and checked with tournament coordinator, we should be running a WCG style tournament. | ||
