 Lot's of blame to go around. I'd rather have Carmelo taking 35 shots than Felton taking 21 or even Shumpert taking 13. Then you look at the team and think who else is supposed to score? Novak gets killed on defense and Kidd missed his open shots. I'd like to have Chandler scoring more, but that's up to his guards to get him easy dunks and lobs. Felton's game bothered me more than Carmelo's even if he shot a higher %, given what he's supposed to do for that team. | ||

I think he should've realized a long time ago that he was going to have a cold night, and should've tried to get his other guys more warmed up in the offense. | ||

The problem is the Knicks have X number of shots to fill, and they don't have the people to fill it. Carmelo's a selfish player and that's not going to change, so there should be someone else getting others involved and that's not going to happen if Felton is doing his best JR Smith impression. It's not like Kobe taking 35 shots when Pau, Odom or Bynum were <10. The Knicks' next best alternatives are terrible, unless Felton or Kidd can get them open. This is a next best alternative situation, and the Knicks didn't have much of one. Felton was hitting, but it was at the expense of getting Chandler opportunities. And it's pretty ridiculous that Kidd played 37 minutes without a single point. I think the whole team was pretty underwhelming. | ||
