With their contract they don't care about a few thousand dollars anyway, but being named as a cheater is really bad for their image.

If Wade doesn't mind wearing calf pants and having a personal bag holder, I doubt he's worried about his image. Seriously though, Battier just said it. Shaming the players means nothing, only money does.

It's been Indiana's FG% and high FTAs. In game 4 George Hill and Stephenson did major damage to Miami racking up fouls early in the game on Bosh and Wade. Indy's bigs were the beneficiaries of it. In the first game they won Miami shot poor at the line. Even when getting outrebounded Miami has won - look at the team statlines for Game 3.

Still, Bosh has gotten a total of 15 rebounds this whole series, and Indiana is still rebounding absurdly well even when Miami's "big" lineup of Bosh and Andersen on the floor. Really don't know who's going to win now, both teams are playing such great basketball.

NHL zebras do their job in the playoffs, why can't the NBA guys follow suit. Let these guys play.

And you can't say that their size isn't an advantage when they're scoring at such a high rate off post up chances. That's part of the reason Indiana is scoring so efficiently, because they adapted to Miami's defensive scheme and in the last game at least found a way to get the ball to Hibbert/West in the post fairly consistently despite Miami's attempts to front them.

What's killing them is Wade and Allen getting outplayed by Hill and Stephenson in the losses. Neither has been good on offense and they've been uncharacteristically bad on defense as well. Yes, the Pacers are better than the Heat inside, but they planned for that. What they didn't plan for is Hill matching Wade's production and Allen going 9/32. Battier has also been crap, but he's in kind of an unfair position against West and he's not the type of player you expect to play well on both sides of the ball anyways. I think when Wade and Allen play well, the Heat have a clear advantage. It's why I'm still not comfortable with giving Indiana an edge in the series. Even though he's been unreliable, I think Wade is still far more reliable than Stephenson and Hill, so I expect him to have 4 good games this series (which will all be wins.) I hope Chalmers gets some of Allen's playtime tonight, though.

We knew Indiana had that advantage and the Heat have learned to deal with size series after series. It's certainly one of the Heat's weakest points, but they expected it and they're usually pretty good at mitigating it. Plus, there's just not much they can do with their roster to deal with it.
