Also Abigael meta gamed a bit too much. At risk of a party wipe, I would be meta-gaming too. Also, how many times have they been taken prisoner, then during the break out, just KILL EVERYTHING!

I think it going to depend on if there was anything in the Catacomb. If there are alot of monster and the fight seem hard in the Catacomb, I doubt Neal will be gay and make Seela turn into a large dragon to kill them lol. On the other hand, if the quest into the Catacomb are faced with little resistance, there is a large possibility that Seela might be so :o

I see someone in chat mention that they should just back out and use the rod and Dalamar the slug and then a few minutes later Abigail says the exact samething. it feels weird even having to log on and say this, but you'd honestly accuse gen of cheating over the, and let's be real here, incredibly likely possibility that she came up with the strategy on her own when the entire party was well aware of how and why the rod failed?

I would love to get back into it, and that is the last concrete point at which I stopped. This show has given me many a fond memory. It is on week 18 I think

Shes done it before. So, yes, I'd accuse her.

Thanks! I'll go give it a look on YouTube. Peace guys! Looking forward to some great RollPlay. I bet today's episode was awesome (tuned in at the end and saw something about giant slugs, rofl).

So, yes, I'd accuse her. 1) it's an unfalsifiable claim. 2) gen reads feedback and is actively running a group of her own while being on week 22? of RP, but clearly she's still new enough to D&D that she'd commit the cardinal sin that obviously. 3) clearly it has to be metagaming, and not taking advantage of the advantageous terrain for ranged battle. because if someone messes up once, there is no possibility of improvement and it's endemic to the way you conduct yourself.

There is no cheating in an RPG unless you fix dice rolls. Even then, you are just ruining it for you self. Meta-gaming it is fine. The DM can just do it back and slap her down for doing it. It easier to punish a bad habit with an unfavorable out come than call someone a cheater in a game where the opponents aren't even real.

Let's not forget that you have to keep the game moving, and sometimes you gotta sacrifice a little bit of realism!

Neal directly even told them that "The lighting always came from the sky." It was a strategy that a child could of thought of so I am sure Gen could of figured that out her self. If you are going to mention meta game, why dont you also mention Vincent for purposely meta gaming and telling JP about the lightning so he could slit that guy throat. My only regret is that Bregor should of attempted to tame the slug. That way they could either used the Slug to help them clear the Catacomb or got a free pass in the catacomb. Bregor also ended up getting smacked by it anyways so he probably should of attempted it anyways.

Can't believe that people actually start bashing here for the occasional metagaming. And always Gen, that's the funny part. Nobody even mentions the fact that Geoff actually told JP to slit the throat, he even interrupted himself because of metagaming, said it, and then just told him anyway, next to other obvious stuff. So? All of them are following the chat. As soon as someone spits out an idea, it's in their heads and influences them, if only slightly. So as long as they don't restrict chat, they're all doing the same, and i don't see the problem with that. Even Neal is metagaming. On so many occasions he could've killed the party (and it would've made sense), he didn't - he gives tips which are metagaming as well (sky, rod, dingeling?). Still, no one bashes him for that (not saying somebody should, would be retarded).
