EPTIf it's done in the same scope like BG2 dungeons then we'll have 15-20 hours of gameplay in Endless Paths, which is awesome!

Kickstarter allows them to avoid having a publisher , which means no EA/Activison/ect inputing what does and does not go into the game. It also allows them to make more profits and/or sell the game at a lower price for profits similar to what they would get charging more and giving the publisher their cut. I'm sure they have tried pitching the game to publishers with no success prior to trying this. Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, Icewind Dale 1 + 2, Planescape Torment, fallout 1 +2, ect. Important to note that none of those games were actually Obsidian Entertainment. They're all Black Isle. Black Isle Studios closed in 2003 after Interplay basically went bankrupt, and Obsidian opened that same year with many of the same employees. So while most of Obsidian worked on BG2, PS:T and the other great isometrics, the games that have been made under the Obsidian tag are Fallout: New Vegas, Knights of the Old Republic 2, Neverwinter Nights 2 + expansions, Dungeon Seige 3 and Alpha Protocol.
