If you've ever played Amnesia, this game is ten times worse.
The goal: collect eight pages of a journal hidden around the map
The catch: Slender Man is hunting you in the middle of the woods at night, and every few seconds teleports to a location on the map. The more pages you have, the closer and closer he gets. If he sees you, you have to run.
A quick tip to make the game much better; turn the graphics all the way up. The "You died" screen is stupidly lame on lower settings, but its quite good on the highest settings. On low settings, its so poorly rendered it isn't scary at all, but its excellent on max. Haven't tested the middle settings.
It should run fine still on anything more powerful than a graphing calculator, since there isn't a whole lot going on.
I got 7/8 pages and I slowly turned around, nothing was there, so I turned back around to go look for the last page and BAM! He was right fucking there in my face, I had the volume up high so that loud "DUN!" with him being there scared the living shit out of me and nearly fell out of my chair.

He did just recently get 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and he plays all kinds of scary games, and I must say Slender is the worst one on his list. Pewdiepie popularizes ANY scary game he plays. So its not surprising.
I'd say it's a really cool take, I wouldn't expect a slenderman game to be scary but it looks like it definitely could be. That said, the picture in the OP is ridiculous and doesn't bring forth the scaryness of slenderman at all, same with the game when you see his face up close. The whole point of slenderman is that you only see him in the distance or in the dark, so his face is vague. Yeah, he doesn't have a face, but that's not really scary when you see it clearly upclose, it's scary when you see him from a distance and can't make out any expression.
Hooooly shit, there's actually a game on slenderman?! I'm on a crap comp so I can't play this sigh T_T

Seriously though, I actually remember the deal about slenderman. Came across it one day randomly going around, maybe it was on creepypasta or something but haha! Wowow.
EH He appeared right next to me once I found the first page. The game is not very scary, it is just random surprise static and the picture in the OP. It's like one of those .gifs that randomly flashes a scary face, except in game form. Nowhere near as scary as Amnesia.
The game's stars and constellations are wrong. They are not useful for finding direction. It's just randomly wandering around and then SURPRISE the slender man and the game quits.
Never mind, the one VOD posted had to be redirected to justin TV which is blocked in China. *sigh*

Hm maybe try highest quality possible, a lot of people were saying that the game is much scarier/impressive on highest settings. Better atmosphere and what have you.
Just downloaded this and played around it's pretty darn scary and got my heart pumping once you get a couple pages. the Atmosphere is great and the map isn't big enough that it's just you doing Blair Witch Project in the woods.
Click the blue button with the arrow pointing down, left side of the screen. Then wait 20 seconds or so, and a blue/bold underlined link will appear--click it and you will download it. The other download buttons are for the desktop app of 4shared or are advertisements for other things.

Honestly, I found Amnesia scarier. To be honest I was more focused on the headache I got from the flashlight and the lack of direction I had with regards to actually finding the pages.
But thats just me, I can see how it would be scary.
yea this game is just really random with a ton of triggers, amnesia/penumbra were much scarier because there was an actual story line and it slowly creeped you out, this is just random jump scares but still well done for only being made by one guy i think. Still waiting for next penumbra/amnesia game

Great game this is. Is has the most horrific atmosphere I've ever seen in a game. Anmesia is intense too but this game is just insane.
And insanely difficult too! I've made myself a map and even when you know where you have to go, it's really difficult. At 7 pages you can't even outwalk Slenderman. And sometimes he just teleports right in your face... BAM!
4 pages and then BAM, Mr No Face. Made me jump but didn't scare. My mates gf however......... "Why has the music changed. I don't like it, I don't want to play, why is it all fuzzy AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Just gave it a try and... after 3rd note my screen flashed so I got scared a little (but nothing major) so I ran (seems like a reasonable thing to do), than after 4th note he got me, but meh... Like someone said, it's like a screamer page but in the game. At least amnesia had a story, more interesting mechanics etc, this is just waiting for slender to appear and kill you

Going for another try, I want to beat this game.
What about locating note no 6, 7, 8 and just then just go straight for them? Seems like a thing I would do if i cared to go that far.
I got 4 pages, then he got me, so I tried again. After 1 page, I go to the bathroom house thing and he popped out of nowhere in that...thats it for me lol. Doesn't help me sleep at 3 am either >.<
hmm well I was a little underwhelmed by it. The first time, it was freaky, the music is pretty good at setting the mood, and I was unfortunate enough to see him as I was walking around in the bath house type thing, man, freaky, but got 6 pages on the first try, and 8 on the second, so I guess it is admirable for what it is, but Amnesia is just constant fear and tension..
I found Amnesia to be faaaarrrrr scarier, and this is coming from me having played it after watching Day9 do it, so I had all the parts spoiled to an extent. I even played it alone in the dark with headphones and I got to about 5 pages before I gave up. The worst reaction it got from me was me jumping pretty hard. But I never actually felt fear like the kind of pit-in-your-stomach fear or I-wish-I-was-really-small-right-now fear that Amnesia provides. However, the music is quite good at keeping you tense and the setting is pretty well chosen. But it's scare factor is hugely overrated imo. It's a fun game to have friends try out at parties though.
I guess I'm just a giant wuss or something but after playing amnesia and slender man, there's something about slender man that just terrifies me. I just realized today after glancing over slender man in my installed games folder that I had nightmares last night about it. Me in the woods running from slender man, after a while the anxiety would get so great that I would just search for him and run myself into him to end the game.
