I only watch the games that I've played when I was a kid. I just discovered AGDQ 2013 and started watching. in the Goldeneye 1 hour 20 min run they drop the name Team Liquid from someone's donation and wanted a shout out, and I was hyped. later the personally shout out TL so my question is do they or we have some special friendship or association with them? are any of them on here? gotta keep up with this thread now. love it Flicky Lee and Raelcun? were all there and moderately active TL members. Flicky runs action games like Bayonnetta, DMC and that new Metal Gear game. Lee's a god at Yoshi's Island. Then Raelcun does Starcraft runs then whatever other game he seems to pull out of a hat or hit on a dart board or something along those lines. As a whole TL has a pretty good roster of runners that pop up here and there at different things.

For the most part the speedrunning community is on good terms with TL, FGC etc. This of course is related more so towards the SDA and SRL sites. Gotta remember that speedrunning is fragmented with a number of large websites and communities. So not all of them have an intimate relationship with TL, SDA or SRL. Actually, I was shocked to learn this week that doomworld is larger in active members and overall members than SDA.

There was a TL backed donation incentive to name Steiner after KT Violet that raised over $15,000 and the main push was during my Starcraft run. As to special friendships? I <3 Lee and Carl, haven't really talked to Flicky much. It's generally the best way to pick up a game.

Also, moderately active? =/ Basically, every AGDQ we've got TL to have a big presence donation wise and so on which has led to a good relationship between the communities. On top of that, there is a chunk of crossover with runners/sc2 players.
