I'm finally able to stream and route Sacrifice. It's been a long time coming, and you don't even want to know what I had to do to get this thing happening, but it's a fun project. Not sure how good the game is for speedrunning (it's an interesting genre with some hard as hell missions), but I'm having fun at least.

I did a good bit of routing yesterday. Took the first mission down to about 4 minutes and crafted several routes through the game for testing purposes. Gonna start work on AI manipulation and sneaky kill tactics over the next few days so I know what I have to work with.

I've been compiling almost everything Sacrifice into this gigantic spreadsheet. That spreadsheet is actually an updated version of an .xls file I had lying around from years ago. Sacrifice has been a project of love for some time now.

Carl Sagan just got the Yoshi's Island Kappa% WR (beating Lee and the TAS) with a 1:29:15! He used a new glitch found by arnethegreat. The VOD is here: http://www.twitch.tv/carlsagan42/b/434004918

Sounds like there are a lot of possibilities with this glitch and it's still up in the air what categories people will run/what will be allowed in different categories.

This game went from being reasonably glitchless to completely broken T.T

At least it's pretty funny to watch.

A bit of a GS update. I've somehow saved around 2-3minutes purely due to route changes, hard to quantify exactly because a lot of those changes are small 2-4s saves here and there. Highlights include breaking mercury/tret/altin even more than what was already possible.

You missed out, man! Next time there's an EU meet-up (even if it's not a marathon) you should definitely come over (so we can all sing along to Obsession).

Its not the first time someones dropped a huge amount in Cosmo or Sigs stream. Notch has dropped 1-2k on them multiple time. The crazy thing isnt so much the amount which is a lot but the background of this guy and the multiple stories going around about him. It'll be interesting if the check clears or not. If it does thats going to be amazing

I hope for Cosmo's sake it's legit, but the whole thing just seemed weird. I really hated how the chat was flaming the crap out of him though. I'd have preferred people to be friendly, but cautious, instead of immediately giving him the ol "fuck you"

1-2k, and 10k are very large differences. Though I agree, I believe firefighters make about 50k annually? That would be 20% of his annual income donated. I'll admit I'm not familiar with how much workers compensation is though.

Ok I've been watching speedruns for years now from time to time, I splurge, i know Cosmo, Swordless Link and a few others. I only watch the games that I've played when I was a kid.

I just discovered AGDQ 2013 and started watching. in the Goldeneye 1 hour 20 min run they drop the name Team Liquid from someone's donation and wanted a shout out, and I was hyped. later the personally shout out TL so my question is do they or we have some special friendship or association with them? are any of them on here?
