1) SSF was the game that was played in between the starcarft events at Dreamhack Winter 2011 right?
2) If it was, who were the two guys in the final? Gonna root for those guys if they're here.
3) I'm looking at the bracket, who are the top five favorites out of this? Want to root against these guys unless they're also in #2.
Cool. This looks like fun. ^^
1) Yup
2) Infiltration and Ryan Hart iirc, I don't remember who won (probably Infiltration), he just played earlier!
3) Too early to tell! But you can bet that guys like Daigo, Poongko, Latif, Mago, Uryo will go far (not really taking risks here :p)

Did a quick search anddd
1) Yep, but it's been patched since. 2) It was Infiltration, a Korean that plays Akuma, and Ryan Hart, a Brit that plays Ryu/Sagat 3) Hard to say who's favourites. Most would bet on the japanese player playing at the time unless it's say Justin Wong, Ricky Ortiz, Wolfkrone, Latif and a few others. But have a look at Pachi's OP for notable players

1. yes
2. I forget, but I seem to remember wolfkrone was one nvm
3. You will not get people to agree on even 4/5, but imo: Justin Wong, Ricky Ortiz, diminion, fuudo, mago
Edit: ironically I agreed 4/5 with someone who answered earlier, lol

Ryan Hat is a fraud. Don't root for him.

How come no mention of Daigo? Is he no longer untouchable?

Damn this is so fun to watch despite not knowing how to play it, etc, fighting games are so visually entertaining.

As said, there are too many killers in this tournament to even predict Top 8, somewhat like GSL players coming over to MLG. Also in the same vein, anyone from the U.S. is usually the person to cheer for against dominant foreign presence, or someone with an uncommon, exciting and/or apparent mid-low tier character.

I didn't because between what we saw from him today and at CEO, he doesn't look like he is top 5. But that is more of a statement about the field rather than him.

He still is a beast, but has been slightly flaky as of late. Not a 100% win chance, for the most part. The joke has been that he has smiling and having fun lately, so his "ungodly beast mode I will crush your face don't you dare look at me" mentality has gone. Don't count him out in any way though

He lost to Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz at CEO a few weeks ago, didn't make top 3 there.

Well his aura of invincibility was shattered last year when Poongko perfected him. On top of that he hasn't been going to many tournaments this year (had a book come out, and has a kid now) and didn't win CEO or Road to Evo SEA. Still a top tier talent obviously but he's beatable now.

1. SSF4 was played at Dreamhack, yes.
2. Infiltration defeated Ryan Hart in the finals.
In SF4 there probably isn't a top 5. There are probably 8-12 players who have a legit chance at winning, 24-40 players capable of making top 16, 40-60 players capable of making top 32, and considering there were around 1600 entrants, there are bound to be some little known killers mixed in somewhere. A few of the top favorites are EG killers (Justin Wong, Ricky Ortiz, and Momochi), MCZ Daigo Umehara, last year's champion Fuudo, last year's runner up RZR Latif, Haitani, TH Poongko, MCZ.MRN Wolfkrone, MCZ Tokido, and Uryo. It would be very unsurprising to see any of these players in top 8.

People stop believing in Daigo after he got mauled by Poongko and then lost podium finish to Latif last year.
He didn't do so well in CEO recently either.

Your script is almost perfect. This is the year America finally wins in Street Fighter (excl. ST) and it's gonna be Justin finally getting past Daigo. Oh, and he wins UMvC3 as well. BELIEVE

Holy shit, Kokujin is ASS.
It's like watching MOV plays Ken except it's worse.

The scary thing is that this is actually a possibility, if both Justin and Daigo somehow get past this whole stacked field.
