Yeah, I know, but sometimes Salt is just getting pissed. Plus its kinda silly to say that people who don't play fighting games wouldn't understand it, everyone who does something competitive knows the feeling.

I guess I'm still in shock as I've never seen anyone get into Bala's head like MadKOF did. After the bracket was reset, MadKOF was in complete control with DL and Chin. It just took another adjustment to seal the deal in the final match. The majority of the audience was from North America. They've seen Bala play. For crying out loud, he was ill with something (cold? Flu? I forget) during MLG Anaheim, but he won the tournament anyway. This was supposed to be Bala's coronation, and since he lost, and it'll take the audience a while to digest what just happened. Regional pride is one of my favorite things about the FGC. It's what makes people so excited to go to majors, to see which region is truly the best. Everyone thinks their region is the best, and will fight hard to represent that.

Is this tournament like the old school WCG of the fighting community? It's a major international tournament that only comes around once a year, which everyone considers the gold standard for players in a game. It's just sick. It's also super impresive that this tournament attracts a pretty ethnically diverse croud. There seem to be a lot of latino/black spectators, and everyone gets super pumped over a wide range of games. Pretty cool.
