Very small. Knowing him he would crash on the second instead.

I wonder if Schumacher blames Jev for that like he did last time with Senna.

If I were Lewis i'd leave Mclaren. fk

And here's the surprise of the day:
Marussia got a 12th place finish, which puts them into P10 of the constructors championship. While for us viewers this might be insignificant, a 10th place gives the team about 30million bucks in TV money at the end of the year, while 11th place gets nothing. In order for Caterham to regain 10th place, they will need one finish in the top 12 during the remaining 6 races. 13th place finishes: Caterham 2, Marussia 0. 14th place finishes: Caterham 3, Marussia 2. So a 12th place finish would equalize them and then the 13th place finishes would be taken into account again.
Not an easy task.

Was it ever in doubt, honestly alonso has just been so damn consistent this year. Unless something hideous happens to alonso i think its in the bag for him.
On the other hand i really hope McLaren focus on the constructors.

Just stumbled upon some December 2009 Jerez F1 tests I gathered back then
Pos Driver Team Time Laps 1. Andy Soucek Williams 1:19.158s 87 2. Paul Di Resta Force India 1:19.369s + 0.221s 46 3. Gary Paffett McLaren 1:19.426s + 0.268s 54 4. Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull 1:19.534s + 0.376s 112 5. Juiles Bianchi Ferrari 1:19.626s + 0.486s 90 6. Mike Conway Brawn 1:19.920s + 0.762s 58 7. Alex Rossi Sauber 1:20.227s + 1.069s 82 8. Marcus Ericsson Brawn 1:20.333s + 1.175s 49 9. Bertrand Baguette Renault 1:20.511s + 1.363s 105 10. JR Hildebrand Force India 1:20.537s + 1.379s 49 11. Oliver Turvey McLaren 1:20.856s + 1.698s 27 12. Brendon Hartley Toro Rosso 1:21.325s + 2.167s 69
Brawn were the fastest cars at that time
Soucek will never get into F1 again although he was the most talented and quickest driver to ever grace a racetrack since Alonso
Baguettes time wasn't up to par but neither was his Renault at that time. He'll never get a drive either, even tho he's talented and won a Renault World Series once.
di Resta / Paffett / Ricciardo / Bianchi -> I think everyone agrees these are some talented guys who could take the opportunity of sitting in a fast car.

SICK!!! Perez will win next season for sure So that basically means Hamilton -> Mercedes, but where will MS go? Sauber? Or what are the chances of his retirement?

did not expect hammy to actually go to merc. looking at their track record these past 3 years (ignoring the brawn team year, when they had 18 months to build a car), and the fact that they dont seem to be improving much at all, what was he thinking?
|
Maybe Schumacher to Ferrari?
|
Not happy with this, as a McLaren fan they have weakened themselves here. Lewis must have been sold around Merc's big push for 2014 and onwards. It will spice up the driver market now though, will Schumacher go to Ferrari for a year before Vettel joins (supposedly) in 2014. I dont see Rosberg causing any problems to Hamilton and I suspect Button will out-perform Perez, although it will be close.
Zere, you think Soucek is faster than Hamilton/Vettel/Kubica? Or was it a comment in jest?
|
Ross Brawn and Hamilton will be lethal, Mclaren done goofed too many times with Hamilton, cost him too many races
|
MSC to Ferrari needs to happen.

I am a McLaren fan since 1988 when my father would watch the GPs on the BBC. Since Button has joined the team Witmarsh has been rather constant trying to mention Button in every interview that sees Hamilton doing well with button well down the pecking order specialy for the car, take the quali from singapore martin was rather distant when they mentioned lewis but started to speak about jenson. I realy hope the mp4-28 is a Dog but perez does better than whining button. Since martin took over from ron the team has been getting worse. the sooner button and witmarsh are out the door the better.
