He will sign to replace Webber imo. Webber replacing Massa at Ferrari McLaren pit crew has been awful this season for him. However McLaren are one of the consistently fastest cars on the grid through the years, so he better consider that carefully too. If Massa goes I doubt it'd be Webber as replacement, given that Perez is doing rather beautifully.

But as a Ferrari fan I don't want Webber. He's a good driver but the prospect of him joining the team doesn't excite me. I'm hoping he was just trying to place an order for the latest Ferrari special edition or something.

Also this backs up my theory xD And yes, great races this year 6 races 6 different winners, quite easily see Lewis winning a race eventually too, Schumacher been unlucky (Cant see him winning one though) be interesting in Spa next is it?

I say that because I really can't see Alonso allowing him to become his teammate again (regardless of what he says to the press, it's what he says to the team that we don't see) and the same goes for Vettel. Why would they want someone who is at least as good as them as their teammate when they are the number 1 driver in the team and have all the attention from the team? And more to the point, why would Lewis want to move into a team where he isn't the focus? His only real choice would be to go down the grid to Lotus or Mercedes, and I really can't see why he would do that. Mclaren have made a lot of mistakes this year while he hasn't - the opposite of last year really, but I can't see that he really has any other options.

There is 1 team principal and 2 mini teams headed up by a race engineer specifically for each driver and they are the ones who set the directions for each driver which may be different to the other. It is the same in all teams, thus it doesn't make a difference who is lead driver in the sense of not being give then right equipment. The only thing that teams allow for is like in Alonos Massa situations we have seen is they allow Alonso pass Massa alot due to Alonso being quicker more and is higher up the scoring board. Vettel was allowed to go pass Webber last season on the same accord because he was chasing the championship and Webber wan't in as much contention

The likes of Vettel wouldn't have a say in any appointment like that, and well he is not and will not drive for Ferrari due to there car being weak. The only team he will go to is Red Bull and well if this season continues the way it has so far he will leave. If Vettel says to them 'If Lewis joins, I'm leaving' you think they will say fine? Vettel can influence who comes into the team. As for Ferrari's car being weak, who is leading the WDC?

He'll re-sign with McLaren but maybe not for aslong as he did before, and for alot more money. They had good pace in Spain and managed the tires well, the only problem was the fact that McLaren fucked Lewis in quali and the fact that its a pretty poor track for over-taking (as we saw last year too). You can't really judge anything on this last weekend though, McLaren seemed to have good pace but the team let Lewis down again be it either poor comunication or the slow stop, it was a poor showing. Button though is a driver that tends to swing massivly depending on how he feels with the car, he can have the fastest car on the track and still struggle if its not to his liking (something we saw with BraunGP), so I don't really think you could use him as a milestone, Lewis is better to judge a cars raw pace and going on his quali results they have a fast package. I think that the person who has the most to loose this season is Martin Whitmarsh, I think that if these problems contiune and cost either Jenson or Lewis the drivers title and they fail to come at least 2nd in the constructors, he'll loose his job. Under his managament they have had 3 very poor seasons, and currentaly with one of the faster cars out there the team, not the driver are letting them down as a whole. And I think Webber is a good fit for Ferrari, he wont like being forever a #2 but at least he'll have a drive in a good car and in a good team, and he's shown that he's still fast so I think that he's there best bet, I dont think Perez would though becasue he's a young up and coming driver and having to play #2 to Alonso probally isn't something he'd want or be able to do. Though I'd really love Paul to take Schuey's place at Merc, he's shown he's a fast and mature driver and he has alot of potential, I think him and Rosberg would make for a good team.
