And, sorry, but that's just utter bullshit. If the stewards REALLY have to deem it necessary to penalize him, which, in my eyes, is really questionable in the first place, then they still could just use a more reasonable and more common "penalty", like +5 positions. But even that would be too harsh. Now he starts from behind Karthikeyan, who even FAILED to qualify within the 107% but still got the OK from the FIA. It's just ridiculous, sorry, this is nonsense. Edit: I feel like namecalling is necessary. The stewards in question are: Tom Kristensen, former Danish F1 driver, now endurance racing for AUDI Hans-Gerd Ennser, some Bavarian dude from the German automobile association Radovan Novak, some Czech dude from the Czech automobile association

Why don't you blame McLaren for another BIG fail instead? You dont want to get punishment - dont break the rules. Quite obvious for me

Lotus looks like they are in awesome position for this race, especially if the Ferrrari still retains some of the instability on soft tires (Pat Fry: “The car balance seems to be better on the hards than the softs ") it should be fairly easy for the Lotii to make it into the lead. I don't really see Maldonado doing too well in the race itself, and even if he does manage to hold the lead i'm just going to take a blind guess and say that he'll lose too much time in the pits compared to Lotus/Red Bull/Ferrari. Hopefully schumi doesn't get struck by bad luck more ;-;

Ok so a McClaren guys makes a mistake and has the hose on the wrong setting so he takes fuel out instead of putting it in and he can't work out on the spot how much fuel to put in. He gets it wrong and under fuels the car slightly. Why does Lewis now start at the BACK of the whole grid? At least put him 10th as if he didn't take part in Q3. It's just a crazy decision.

In the closest season in decades, McLaren finally have one of the fastest cars on track and they are doing every single thing in there power to totally fuck up Lewis and Jenson's season. Back to back to back appauling pit stops twice runing Lewis's race and runing Jenson's and now this utter joke. Total an utter abject dissapointment, finally a race that could be exciting with the top teams at the top and red bull failing to get to grips with there new car ruined. I'd put my odd's on Grosjean taking his first win tomorrow with Alonso on the podium too. Let's hope it rains.

Really sad about Bruno as well, big fan ![]() Worst of all, my Mum bought tickets for the weekend for my Dad's birthday so they could go (I've replaced her in going to the British GP since '97 lol) and now my Dad doesn't even see it as worth watching the race and wants to come home early. I hope he doesn't, but I can understand exactly why he feels like that. Absolute farce.
