The more I've seen stuff, the more it feels like there are some bugs still unsquished in the netcode. I can understand registry issues on fast paced situations and inconsistent online play occassionally, but a lot of the shots feel like they have very little to do with any kind of tricky movement or such and more to do with simply the game failing to register the shots in situations where all the necessities for very precise registration are there. If I download a GOTV demo, is that the 'real' state of the game that the server uses for calculation? | ||

In theory a GOTV demo would be as close as you can get to what the server 'saw' BUT these are 16 tick. So they're no good for analysis. The best thing that you can get, to the best of my knowledge, is either take the live GOTV feed (the one they stream from, if it's live as opposed to a demo it's 128 tick) or a POV demo which is also 128 tick but obviously includes a tiny little bit of lag from the server to the player you're watching the POV demo of. | ||
