Huh I use 800 DPI with 6/11 Windows mouse settings and 2 sensitivity in-game. Guess I fell within your estimated range.

yeah, all pros are around like 600-1300 ingame dpi, with a few AWPers going lower, and a few entry fraggers going over. pretty sure no one is below 400 or over 1800 ingame dpi though. There's a huge google spreadsheet somewhere with like 50/+ pros mouse settings, hardware, etc. somewhere, thats just the general idea from what I remember.
Unrelated, personally I play at 1800 mouse dpi, 6/11 windows sens, and 0.65 ingame sensitivity putting me at 1170 true ingame dpi.

I play with 1.3 sens/400 dpi. Then again, I used to play with 1.5 sens/250dpi...

http://i.imgur.com/fXEbw4L.png That's the most accurate i know of. Though a bit outdated. f0rest never used 800 DPI. But Ex6TenZ plays on 800 DPI 4 sens or sth. But on 4/10 windows afaik.

According to a chart of some pro players sensitivity I have, forest use 400dpi and 3.6 ingame sens. Seems accurate because on NiP website, he list his sens at 3.6.

I actually switched mine recently from 450dpi (old deathadder 3g that doesn't have a 400dpi setting) and 1 ingame sens to 1.2/1.125. I just can't adjust to it at all, it's a lot better for checking corners and do an easier 180 to avoid getting flashed but other than that, my aim has gone to shit with it. At mid to long range, I can't seem to be able to aim accurately. Headshots are now a lot harder to hit. It feels so quick. Guess I should just try to adjust to it by playing a whole lot of DM.

i played 14-28 (awake for 24 hours already)
when i was like 1-2 * a throat cancer russian teammate killed me because i eco stack b with them. and since then he jumped in front of me whenever i engage some one, like body blocking bullets from romantic movies. and he quit.
however, got carried by 55-12 german kiddo aged 17 he says, probably not more than 15. some bulgarians and turks are pissed off badly today.

I think he got that wrong. When I last saw a list of pro's dpi nobody had more than 2k. Forest probably uses 4/400 or 2/800 or so.

I got that from a hltv post, seems they were wrong about forest. x6stnz though does play that high. So ima play in these settings as well, xD.

Be careful with high sensitivity and be sure to do arm exercises. High sensitivity puts more strain on your arm to aim more precisely, thing with forest is that he is very fluid and seems to effortlessly get his aim right on his first movement. Which is why he is such a scary aimer. If you can make it work it can be quite scary, oh and be ready to get called a hacker a lot

Higher DPI doesn't mean higher sens; assuming decent sensor 800dpi 1 sens = 400 dpi 2 sens. Just find what you're comfortable with (general rule would be lowest possible to be able to do 180 easily, and 90° really comfortably). On a side note, I played some matchmaking against recently after a pretty long break. The mix of hackers and awful servers made me want to break my keyboard in half. Time to pay for ESEA agaaaaaaain

Nope, n0thing used f0rest as an example of a player who uses movement to aim more than the mouse and cited the 4 in game sens. No idea about the dpi.
