You know, if you think about it, CS is kind of dreamlike... Same locations again and again, intense anxiety about planting a bomb before time expires at one of two sites with no clear reason why, showing up in a combat zone with nothing but a pistol and having to buy the rest of your gear from an invisible weapons merchant, shooting guys in the chest with a high-caliber automatic rifle and watching as they don't even flinch?
Quick, tell your character to check and see if the top is still spinning

I was going to drop the inception quote from Cobb about how an idea is contagious can consume you and then post a picture of flusha but thought it would just get cheesy.

Wow I'm starting to get really hyped about Penta. Nice to have one good German team to be able to support haha (I like mouz and Alternate and myKPV.de have won me other with their passion but they're all just not THAT good). Krystal is blowing my mind as an awper so far. Interested to see where they can take it in their second game against Virtus Pro. iBP made a big mistake by replacing an entry fragger with a lurker who has been severely underperforming for months.

Hiko isn't "underperforming", he's just Hiko. He plays well but isn't a flashy player who will surprise you. Thorin's thoughts on Hiko as a player I think are extremely accurate. Strategically, Steel may have fit somewhat better, but iBP were never a highly strategic team to begin with. Hiko is overall the better player and also not a cancerous ass.

Uhhh, you honestly have no idea what you're talking about. First off, Hiko was #9 on HLTV's top 20 players of 2013 (the only NA player on the list) and he was BY FAR the best player in NA at the time. Now he has just become an average invite player and pretty subpar at lan. Honestly his name doesn't even come up when you think of the top 10 NA players right now. Regarding his attitude, Hiko is one of the biggest two faced people in invite and has already fucked up a team with dazed because of it. Steel is a dick on stream to the public and mostly on purpose because it brings in viewers, but hiko is a dick behind his stream. Everyone seems to think that hiko is a nice guy with a good heart just because they watch the stream but anyone that has been in invite knows what he's really like.
This still doesn't change the fact that they replaced an entry fragger (steel and after that, nitr0) with a lurker, when they already have swag who is better at hiko's own role and can also play support and awp as well. You can't get anywhere in this game with no entry fraggers.

Because he was on that team with Dazed and Semphis. Honestly, to pin his performance on him slumping is to ignore the quality of the teams he has been on. C9 as a team has been underperforming. To say he's not still top 10 NA is a little bit presumptuous, I would think, especially given the unproven nature of many NA players in international competition.
I don't know about how he is attitude-wise, but I do know how Steel is on a team, he streams his matches now. It's not hard to see why people don't want to play with him. If Hiko is two-faced I wouldn't be at all surprised but I don't think he's going to be a source of division among the team like what happened in the old Quantic/A51 line-up.
Strategically, I won't argue, because I don't know CS at a high level. It might have been the wrong move in that sense, but purely in terms of team chemistry, obviously iBP were willing to give up what Steel brought to the team. Nitr0 simply isn't proven enough to be kept in over the chance to acquire Hiko. Perhaps iBP pulls it together with the new line-up with someone in a new role and it works out. I think Hiko is good enough.
Obviously I could be wrong and he's just the worse player ever to be on a team with but then I don't understand why Dazed/swag would team with him again.

I agree that c9 has been slumping as a whole but even if a team is slumping players can still shine individually. Individually hiko was just insane towards the end of last year and now he just looks like a completely different player. Regardless of the team he's on i'm just talking about pure individual skill. Look at shox after he left titan. He was considered a top 3 player on titan and when he joined epsilon he was still a top 3 player, completely carrying them in every event. Your team plays a huge part in how well you do but if you are a great player you will still play great individually.

loved this tournament, remind of when HSC was a smaller event, didnt like the last one that much, this is deff the right way (i know i know, HSC its pretty big nowadays and they need a bigger place, etc... but still !)
And for some reason, CS players a lot less awkward than SC players

Cs players more than any other esport actually look like athletes in many cases. And yes, they are also way more social and open with their feelings. Thats one of the reasons why I cant watch LoL or Dota. Its just like little rager kids to me lol.
