I'm finally down to 450/2.17 but i really need another mousepad for this settings. Razer Vespula is nice and so but way to small. Steelseries Qck+ looked good at a first glance. I would prefer plastic over softpad though. Any tips on that? A new sound system would be good. I've already one in my mind, but i need to reconsider it a few nights.
Is there anybody that makes strategy content or regular podcasts for CS? Im already subscribed to WarOwl and Adren on youtube, but I was wondering if there was anybody else that was making good content.
Edit: I see you guys posting all these really low DPI settings, are you guys playing with your whole arm, or your wrist? Is there a most optimal way to play? I play with really high DPI (I don't know exactly what it is off the top of my head, would need to check.) but I play entirely with my wrist, because that's how I've always played games. I use the TL mousepad, but I usually have it turned 90 degrees.
Damn im still rocking 800/2.9, i dont think i'll get much lower either, probably 800/2.5 and thats me done.
Just looked up the vespula, thats about the same size as my goliathus (320mmx260mm it says) and i honestly dont know if you could find a legit hardmat bigger then that. I can highly recommend the goliathus as a softmat though, speed version over control IMO (own one of each). The sizes are here, they get pretty big. Width x Length 215mm x 270mm / 8.46" x 10.63" 254mm x 355mm / 10" x 13.98" 355mm x 444mm / 13.98" x 17.48" 294mm x 920mm / 11.57" x 36.22
Yep, i use the speed side too (vespula). Somehow CS works much better compared to the control side. One would expect the opposite... it took a long time until i realized it lol.
Here lies a roccat sota and i have compared the sizes of it and the goliathus. If the speed version feels like the speed side of the vespula, it could work out. The problem is; i either play on my notebook at my gf flat, or in my living room from the couch . So softpads need a solid foundation in addition.
I was at 1800/1.9 before i switched AND used the control side of the vespula. Every tremble went directly into the game...
I have a 1.3 sensitivity. For the longest time I was using 1 because my DPI was so high, but I scaled that down to....800? 700? I don't remember (at work rn), but I turned it back up to 1.3 when I realized I couldn't only spin like....100 degrees from one side of the mouse pad to another lol
GOTV currently lagging up a storm, but if you're watching mouz versus VP....
Damn....mouz showed up and VP are just getting slapped around.
Good thing I'm betting on mouz
Now it looks I"ll lose it betting on Na'Vi versus VP...lol. Mistake I guess to bet against VP twice in a day. Refreshing the page every minute to get score updates is so frightening. Plus this game is so close too. VP getting dominated by Mouz and then putting up a good fight...shows how streaky Na'Vi is really. :/

Okay yeah wow. Its unbelievable how important this is. I am doing this in DM games right now and even though I am still not used to it, I am doing way better. This is also something that you can get really lazy with, but man I know I am just going to sky rocket once I start doing it instinctively. Also after playing a lot today my aim really isn't that great in the scenarios CS requires, in Quake its more about consistent aim at a target that is larger but moving much more quickly. Having to make hyper fine adjustments is something I am going to have to work on.
Like seriously... I would have loved to see a lineup with both kennyS and shox on it... Like, if Titan was Ex6tenz, kennyS, shox, and two of ScreaM/NBK/apex... that woulda been so hype.

I can't be the only one who thinks that the second team is better than the first, can I? And how weird is it that Scream is the one who'd end up teamless? Is he like a shitty teammate or something?

If it's true, anyway.
Scream goes for headshots only and it always hurts the team's performance as a result.

True. But when he's on fire it's soooooo much fun to watch.
