I wrote a post somewhere about my first experience of playing Mist. Basically it is confusing as fuck. It's a DM map masquerading as a de map. | ||

In general I feel hitting the oponent is less consistent than it was in 1.6 (applying to both directions, less hits and more hits). I have played a bit of 1.6 again lately and shooting and impact felt soo much better. I can't really pin point it but it feels really precise and you get immediate recognition whereas in GO it feels more wishy-washy. I guess a lot also comes from death/hit animations and sounds. GO is still miles better than Source in that regard but still, I really hope the next CS (if there would be one sometime in the future) gets a harder engine more akin to 1.6. | ||

It doesn't really help that the whole map concept is really weird if you try to use common sense on it. Apparently Ts are blowing up either some police cars or a pile of planks or something. None of the buildings seem particularly intuitive either. | ||
