I've played with ridiculously high sensitivity for as long as I can remember. Served me well so far. Used to be a whole lot faster than this when I played competitively when I was a kid, too. I'm trying 4 now, and I'll try to lower it as much as I can, but I'm not likely to be able to play very well below 3 I'd think.

If he is consitently hitting shots are long range with his currently sensitivity, why lower it? Because its impossible to have proper and consistent crosshair placement with ridiculously high sens. There's a reason every good player plays within a certain range of sensitivities. Ideal sens is 800-1200 real sens (in game * dpi). The best place to start imo is 1000 real sens which is 2 sens @ 400 dpi or 1.5 sens @ 800 dpi. From there you can adjust it but that range is what it takes to do a 360 with 1 full swipe of a large mousepad. Most pros use the higher end of that range because its fast enough to let you flick well and low enough to have a steady crosshair when you are walking and clearing angles. If you have high sens then you twitch a lot which makes it hard to keep your crosshair steady enough, and at long distances it'll be impossible to accurately aim at people's heads when your crosshair moves at large increments. High sens is also an extremely huge strain on your wrist in fps games that require precision like cs. I probably do better at osu or mouse accuracy than 99.5% of people despite the fact that my mouse jets all over my screen all the time, but despite that there are people who are so much better than me with really high sensitivity. There was this guy who'd play that thing stupidly well and you could barely see his hand move.
I'll agree that it's not common but I'd argue that it's simply another style rather than an inferior one. I tried low sens extensively when I was younger and it didn't work at all. So high sensitivity is not preventing me from getting results. I've been getting results.

People seem to forget, that high sens players use their wrists instead of their arm. It's like a completely different input system and numbers cannot be compared.

osu accuracy is more relevant to sc2 than fps games. I was just trying to help but if you want to keep playing on ridiculously high sens then i can't stop you.

There's a difference between high sens and ridiculous sens. f0rest is considered to use one of the highest sens's out of any pro (3.5 @ 400 dpi)

6@1K dpi indeed is a lot are you playing with accel? I had friends that did that and just moved their mouse slowly to aim at long range.. They played decently but couldn't get consistent quick aim. I tried playing at 4@400 dpi and it already seemed impossible to hit anything from afar.. But if you've been playing like that for years I guess whatever floats you boat

Back in my days when I had free time I played some cal-p, despite my crazy sensitivity. Yet I don't give people unwarranted advice

Pub superstar? I guess I pubbed my way to esea-invite in csgo and cs:source.
unless you're get_right or someone who's on a top european team there's always something you can do to improve. Even pros change settings like crazy. Like I said, I was just giving some advice, whether or not you take it is on you. Grats you were cal-p back in the day, that means literally nothing now. Honestly, I don't really care about this game much anymore. Its an awful game and I refuse to put anymore time into it because of that. I do know how to get good at this game though, and how to make your time productive rather than being satisfied with mediocrity.
Also, I'd say its not unwarranted advice though, seeing as you're LEM.

Now like you I don't care much about the game and I have other occupations... like university and teaching. LEM playing 10 hours a week with my GN4-MG2 friends is my version of getting results.

Let's get this thread back on track an talk about CKoTH shall we? (or not, I have popcorn)
Will likely be iBP vs Na'vi, should be a fairly even match but my money is on iBP. I think a lot of fanboys are betting on Na'vi so hopefully this will upset them
...although being a 1 off match, do you think we'll see experimental strats or will they play it serious?

fucking done wit this game.

Didn't IBP disappoint at G3? My money is on a bunch of aim stars in Na'Vi over an under performing NA team.

Who is an aim star on Na'Vi? It's pretty much Guardian, the rest didn't really impress me consistently.

That's because they aren't consistent aside from GuardiaN and Edward. starix and seized step it up every once in a while though.

Edward isn't really consistent, either, comparing his usual performance against, lets say, his monstrous perfomance yesterday.

He is consistently good. He's just not consistently monstrous. He has his off days just like Get Right but is pretty consistent overall.

Grats man, now GL for eagle :D I'm struggling pretty hard, just got 32 kills in MM in highish DMG though so I have hope! So many smurfs destroying games, it's hard. And seized is pretty sick when he is on, any of the pro players can be anyway, consistency is the key but it seems pretty hard to attain on GO..

They've won their last 4/5 matches, against teams like Na'Vi, and NiP according to hltv. Sure CW aren't big, and neither are Epsilon, but not exactly pushovers either. Although they lost to Titan.
I'd put them over Na'Vi, and maybe even vs fnatic at Cologne.
