I had even time to take screenshot (didn't move crosshair at anypoint) ![[image loading]](http://puu.sh/aLeyr/20ae3f919a.jpg) Could someone tell me where the real hitbox was? I hit him in shoulder every time. Would explain a lot, lol. In general I feel hitting the oponent is less consistent than it was in 1.6 (applying to both directions, less hits and more hits). I have played a bit of 1.6 again lately and shooting and impact felt soo much better. I can't really pin point it but it feels really precise and you get immediate recognition whereas in GO it feels more wishy-washy. I guess a lot also comes from death/hit animations and sounds. GO is still miles better than Source in that regard but still, I really hope the next CS (if there would be one sometime in the future) gets a harder engine more akin to 1.6.
there was a video of a guy showing the difference between 128 tick and 64 tick registration. it was mind blowing. Im going to try to find it

Hi guys,
I'm a bad CS player (MG2) and I suck particularly at pistol rounds. How do I improve? Additionally, can someone give me pointers on what to buy when you win the pistol rounds? I usually buy a bizon and armor but I am not sure if this is optimal. When to bizon, when to get p90 and when to get MP9 for example?

^ practice aiming in deathmatches or aim maps (195.154.217.158:27018 is a pistol only aim deathmatch on EU if you want to try), try to engage from afar if you're CT, or close up if you're T (as the glock needs 2 headshots to kill past 20m or so if I remember correctly). I like to buy kevlar on pistols, because of the aim punch bullshit, but nades can do sick damage too so that's up to you and the position you play. Pistols round is basically 100% aim, especially as CT, as the usp and P2K are pretty crazy accurate if you don't spam and therefore super deadly with good aim. For the anti eco, if you're CT you should buy rifles as buying P250/CZ + armor/helm is pretty common as T after a lost pistols. As T you can buy basically anything except p90 (I think it's only 300$ a kill instead of 600 for other SMGs). Lately I've had fun buying the sawed off and blasting the poor unarmored guys to collect the delicious shotgun kill dollars. Just make sure you buy a helmet, as it's the main edge you get by winning pistols by pretty far.

It really depends on your play style. On the anti-eco round you have to decide whether you want to play up close or stay further back. P90 is great close range for instance whereas a Galil or AK is better for long range. Let's say on de_dust2 for instance you play long. On the second round after a win if you would want to play by double doors you would buy a P90 for close range whereas if you plan on playing on the bombsite and watching long you would probably opt for a stronger rifle.

P90 is not worth buying at all.
It's got worse damage, less armor penetration, less accuracy, and more cost than the Galil (for the same reward). In any situation where you're thinking to yourself "I should buy a P90 now", just buy a Galil instead.

I finally build my new computer (thanks to the TL tech thread) and playing CSGO at 300+ fps vs the 65-80-ish I was getting before is an incredible change. It's like a completely new game. Obviously a much, much better experience. Just gotta relearn aiming/spraying it feels like haha.

About 3 shots a second if CT. There really isn't a set buy for after pistol rounds. Anti-eco is popular and so anti anti-eco is popular too, but you really don't need more than 2 guys with a rifle really. Always buy full armour after buying a pistol round is the only consistency that makes sence to do.

Like how much should i start off betting, what to bet on? Obviously only bet things you're willing to lose. I started off betting the grey/light blue skins, only worth ~10 cents. But you'll soon realize like in all gambling, you don't get much in return unless it was a big upset. On the betting page, there's a "discuss option" + Show Spoiler +you can see what people's opinions of the games are obviously. Personally, I like to bet on potential upsets/good odds. Occasionally teams will bet heavily on one team for some reason, even though those two seem pretty even in skill, or you've been reading one has been on a roll recently etc, or you just have blind faith :D. Best recent example was that ESEA match between fnatic and dignitas. For some reason it was bet 71% in dig's favour, so I put a small bet on fnatic, fnatic won. Since it was a small bet, didn't win much back, but still won Try not to make bets on teams you don't really know. For me, those are like the random EU ladders, or random ESEA/CEVO matches that I don't know any of the teams. I think it was 10%-15% of your current bet so take that in note (no point in betting $.02 skins on a 80%+ odds if you're going to win nothing in return) Yeah dunno, I tried to bet an 0,02 $ (after taxes) skin on 40% odds just for the sake of trying it out and it said wait for an offer, then nothing happened. My bet wasn't confirmed. If you see a screen on your bottom left that says "Waiting for bot, bot name is ____, confirmation code is _____ etc", then you just have to wait and check your steam account for an incoming trade offer. When you hear a sound, or see the notice say bot is ready, check your steam, go to the trade offer, double check the confirmation codes are correct (I've never had something try to fake a CSGL bot the same time I make a bet), and accept the offer. Sometimes the bots have been flagged as trade scammers, but it's usually false alarms. Check the confirmation codes to be sure of course. edit: lol xkcd beat me to it
I tried it again. The message you mentioned was on the bottom right. I waited but there never was a sound. The message just faded at some point leaving me at a browser window that just said "no current bets active" or something like that. I never recieved a trade invite, either. Might that be because I changed my password recently and am not allowed to trade in any way?

ESL Cologne is just a weekend. It's like any special event item from MMOs or what not. Prices are unlikely to get as high as Katowice in the same period of time because people have seen what happened with those stickers, and are now likely to stock up and hope for a repeat so they can resell later.
